I can believe that. I bet time stands still in their offices.

Ehh... This is old news. I think even the source is a few days late. I could be wrong, but I know it's kind of old.

Grant is laying down the law!

Those guys are inspiration for birth control.
What are they? Some bottom-feeding, scum sucking algae eaters?

Banned Guy 1: “Who… the.. hell are you?”
Christopher Grant: “I’m Chris Grant and I’m coming to get the rest of you alien bastards!”

So by now you have guessed I can’t wait for Duke Nukem Forever, this is sad news indeed.

That's pretty childish of you for banning people because they point out your story is old. Yes something 3 days old is old when you're working in news, especially on the internet and about technology.

I don't really care if it's old or not. Although you should try to get stuff up as fast as possible. I just don't think those people should be banned.

lol ban hammer in full effect. old or not, i hadn't heard it yet. i usually just stick to the Stiq for my game news, so if they dont report it, then its usually new to me when it gets here.

Now that we've established and agreed upon 3D Realms' pedanticalness, perhaps we can discuss Wittgenstein over a late game of backgammon?

Wittgenstein's philosophies bring a tantalizing though to mind: How can we meaningfully discuss Mr. Nukem' if a distinct lack of information exists?

What say you gentlemen?

As night descends on the world-weary citizens of the Joystiq Nation they cringe and almost unconciously turn toward the fleeting light, wordlessly beseeching it to stay. Who will protect them from mindless trolls, dipshits shouting "old news" and the myriad blog terrors that go bump in the night? And then He is there, like a God of light clothed in all of His awful majesty, wielding His Ban Hammer with all of its terrible power. Chris Grant is there, and the Joystiq Nation no longer fears the dark.

He works in the industry and didn't know it was coming up? Even my MOM knew it was coming soon and I haven't mentioned anything about it to her.

Wait, now I'm assuming he actually works.....Speaking of working, how does 3D Realms pay their employees when they're making no revenue?

Years of "consulting" developers like Human Head and Remedy (that is, consulting them in how to make their games more delayed).

That, and Duke 3D made a ton of money. Oh, and I think Take 2 threw some cash at them at some point a couple of years ago.

He's right, it is irrelevant, even more so for small companies like 3D Realms. Why would they waste their time showing off one game and spend thousands on booths and travel expenses and all the other intricacies involved (and lost of potential development time on top of that)? They're game would end up getting swallowed up by the corporations who have 10-20 games on board to be shown.

The internet is the main medium now, and magazines are a thing of the past. All 3D realms has to do is plan a media blitz during a slow new period, and everyone gets the same information instantly instead of trying to stand out amongst the heavy hitters, like EA, Activision & the big three.

Oh wow, the comments today in this particular post are all kinds of gold.

Chris, you better watch out on Mr. Destructoid's copyright on pots calling kettles black. Don't use 'close but no cigar' or 'jack of all trades' anytime soon. Kotaku or GamePolitics might stop by next.
