I'll wait for Socom IV :)

uh, actually, Confrontation is like...uh...none of the others?...

they stuck to the mechanics of the first 2 games, and added certain other things to enhance it, like the fact that you use the siaxis to lean which pretty much allows the player to cover behind almost anything..

Then there is also some maps from previous games and newer ones, day and nigh, etc

If you are a fan of SOCOM, you owe it to yourself to play this game!

No, what I meant is that Socom:C is online like MGO right? I didn't mean to say they are similar.

I really can't play online lately that's why I want Socom IV. Pure single player campaign goodness.

You guys know the hi res/lo res buttons on the gallery software don't actually use two different size images, right? All the lo-res one does is squish the hi-res image, still have to wait for it to download all the hi-res data. (doesn't matter to me, but I'm sure it does to some people)

Hopefully the official PS3 headset isn't delayed with it. I just want the headset standalone. I'm not into SOCOM, even though I'm Mr. Sony

Gamestop is stupid. They aren't even smart enough to break street dates like cool retailers, let alone know when SOCOM is coming out. Needs more maps though. How hard would it be to slap some HDR lighting and bump map the maps from 1 & 2? I don't think it would take more than a week or so.

Zipper......where are you?

based on what has been shown, they really put a lot of thought on all the maps..

All the maps are really detailed, and if Im not wrong, they mentioned that you have access to almost all the buildings and such

Not only that, but the maps will have a wide variety since they would change based on mode, number of players, day or night....

Also, I think they did announced that they might work on some extra maps, hopefully they are free (shuddup, wishful thinking D:)

I fear for the success of the SOCOM series this generation. It was popular for the PS2 because it was the most popular online game people could get their gun off with.

There weren't many opportuniites to do that online with the PS2, hence its success.

That problem no longer exists with the PS3...There is a decent library of good 3rd person/1st person shooters for it.
I just don't see how they're going to compete.

Oh Noes!

Hopefully the game (an subsequently I) will benefit from the delay. I'm looking forward to being able to go into the buildings. I can see myself and a buddy wreaking havoc as a two-man sniper team.

I think I'm going to get the Quore issue with the SOCOM beta.

A rumor about a PS3 game being delayed? I'm just going to go ahead an believe this is true, regardless of evidence. Oh PS3, why do you tantalize me with so much gaming goodness, only to pull the carrot away just when its in reach?!

As long as i could get that Headset I have no problem.

Delayed again Sony you best to Release My FFXIII without delays cause thats your only killer app and GOTY competitor(LOL Killzone and Resistance you stand no chance against GoW2) ane better tease that God of War 3 at E3 or its over Sony.

Well it is only one month and that month will make this Socom game even better. So I for one am fine with the delay.
