Rumor: Rock Band 2 partial setlist revealed on G4
A segment on G4's X-Play might have revealed some of the tracks of the upcoming Rock Band 2. The above screen capture (via Score Hero) shows 11 tracks. Two are DLC from the first Rock Band (note the different icon). The other 9:
Also, "Pinball Wizard" is coming to Rock Band 1 as DLC, is this indicative of song overlap? Update: Our imagination must have been running wild, as Pinball Wizard is not part of the Best of The Who DLC.

Mighty Healthy @ Jul 1st 2008 10:20PM
You ain't lyin'.
Rock Band 2 just became a first day purchase.
GreyFox @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:02AM
Same here but isn't More then a Feeling DLC for RB1?
Blehg @ Jul 2nd 2008 3:16AM
More than a feeling is a DLC, so is All the Small things, but look at the icons next to them.
My guess is that RB2 makes RB1 tracks playable ZOMG...
I like what i see with this game.
NoHitHair @ Jul 2nd 2008 4:06AM
Yup. Everlong is what did it for me too.
RB2 has my money.
Stevo @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:28AM
Yes Sir.
It doesn't make sense that 'Panic Attack' by Dream theater would be a Solid Difficulty song-- that thing is pretty treacherous. Finger Eleven's 'Panic Attack' sucks. Maybe the song by The Paddingtons?
Co @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:31AM
Wait is that a screen shot of G4 in HD? I'm sueing my cable provider. I'm tired of getting skimped on these HD channels...
AwesomeTown @ Jul 1st 2008 10:09PM
Not too bad at all. There's your Pinball Wizard. But am I the only one who despises Blink 182 and the like?
VoLiTioN @ Jul 1st 2008 10:12PM
Finger Eleven! But, but.... Finger Eleven is baddikins.
DM7000 @ Jul 1st 2008 10:15PM
Might not be but "Kids of America" might be a remake...A ton of bands have remade it so its possible
Han @ Jul 1st 2008 10:15PM
Dream Theater for teh win. I'm buying this game now.
Kenny R. @ Jul 1st 2008 11:07PM
if they make it stupid finger eleven, i will not buy it.
dkffiv @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:53AM
"Panic Attack" - *Dream Theater
One correction and one confirmation:
"Chop Suey" - System of a Down
"Give It Away" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Everlong" - Foo Fighters
"Kids in America" - *THE MUFFS
"Ace of Spades" - Motorhead
"Hello There" - Cheap Trick
"Any Way You Want It" - Journey
"Pinball Wizard" - The Who
Savage303 @ Jul 1st 2008 10:16PM
Um... Pinball Wizard hasn't been confirmed as Rock Band 1 DLC, and as we all know RB DLC is subject to change at harmonix's ever changing will.
Cian @ Jul 1st 2008 10:22PM
First I hope it's Dream Theater and not Finger Eleven. Second, Ace of Spades was in the first Guitar Hero, couldn't that have been relegated to DLC instead? Also, Pinball Wizard is not on the list of Who DLC so I don't know where that comment came from. And I hope this list is for like quick-play or choosing a song for your own custom set-list and not Solo Tour, since they need to have a more interesting Solo Tour like Activision said they'd be doing for World Tour. But either way I still have faith that Rock Band 2 will be the superior game (not that GHWT won't be good...)
Neebs @ Jul 1st 2008 10:29PM
hm, looks like some winning is approaching.
D @ Jul 1st 2008 10:38PM
Pinball Wizard wasn't on the Who list for July's DLC. It is, however, one reason I'll be plunking down the big bucks for this ostentatious game.
JontheNinja @ Jul 1st 2008 10:40PM
I'm pissed that Pinball Wizard wasn't in that stupid RB pack.
giantenemycrab @ Jul 1st 2008 10:41PM
If that is Dream Theater, I'm buying this game day one.
Rollins @ Jul 1st 2008 10:49PM
Ditto. Most definitely.
Vegnagun bwf @ Jul 1st 2008 10:42PM
I hope that this means that Rock Band songs that we've downloaded will be compatible with Rock Band 2.
Hey Apples @ Jul 1st 2008 10:45PM
This has already been confirmed to be true via a dev interview.
That's also why More Than a Feeling and All the Small Things appear in that screenshot.
gwangi @ Jul 1st 2008 10:47PM
The Rock Band DLC will work in both versions of Rock Band.
Vegnagun bwf @ Jul 1st 2008 11:28PM
I wasn't aware it was confirmed, but I'm very happy to hear that. I've got like 40 songs of DLC.
x silence x @ Jul 1st 2008 10:50PM

DM7000 @ Jul 1st 2008 11:10PM
SOAD you mean?
Nick Ritch @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:20AM
Seriously I am so excited about SOAD!!!! They really should put the toxicity album as downloadable content.
Beethoven's c*** is the closest I have gotten to a SOAD fix on rockband.
aristokrat @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:09PM

murph @ Jul 10th 2008 8:29PM
i'll take some SOD with my SOAD anytime.

NvM @ Jul 1st 2008 11:26PM
So they're working on a sequel and I still don't have Nevermind?
colin17 @ Jul 1st 2008 11:51PM
Can't wait to sing Everlong and Anyway You Want It. Also it looks like they are using the DLC songs in Rock Band 2. Rock Band 2 is SOLD! to me.....
bassman730 @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:03AM
Although I really want that to be Dream Theater's Panic Attack, I highly doubt it.
The drum and bass parts in that song are too difficult for the "solid" difficulty in Rock Band. You would need a double bass pedal, plus the song's 8 minutes long.
Vaitork @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:59AM
Exactly what I thought. While the initial reaction was a pleasant surprise, I realized it was very improbable for it to be Dream Theater's.
Unless it's Rock Band 2's "Through The Fire And Flames"
Alas, the difficulty setting doesn't point in this direction either.
At this point I am, at best, pessimistic but with certain hope.
jdr1235 @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:49AM
Since your DLC form Rock Band 1 some of the songs that appear to be RB1 may be just that. They could be DLC from Rock Band 1 in the set list because it is compatible not because it is on the disc. i.e. All the Small Things.
Markster @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:51AM
Chop Suey is win.
As for "Panic Attack", I have 2 observations:
1) If it's Dream Theater, then why the hell did they pick that song? It's not even on my top 10 of DT songs. Also, 8 minutes for reals?
2) If it's Finger Eleven, then this is totally fake. No way is it anywhere near the same difficulty as Ace of Spades.
FSK405K @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:21AM
Three most important features of RB 2 for me:
1. CHECK! RB1 DLC on RB2.
2. UNKNOWN. GH3 guitars on RB2.
3. DOUBTFUL. RB1 music from disk to HDD for RB2 use.
Mike918 @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:40AM
Please God make that pannic atack song be from Dream Theater..pleaasee!
David @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:56AM
Seriously, I'm saving 60 bucks in my wallet right now for this game.
Chris @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:37PM

1. CHECK! RB1 DLC on RB2.
2. UNKNOWN. GH3 guitars on RB2.
3. DOUBTFUL. RB1 music from disk to HDD for RB2 use.
1. I love the fact that they're doing this
2. I'd imagine yes, sinc ethey work on RB1
3. I think they need to come up with a way to do this, I kinda see RB2 like another world tour with a new setlist, but it would suck to have to switch discs back and forth to play specific songs.
I'd be interested in getting a single DLC pack of all 58 tracks from RB1 for a reduced price, maybe have to have the disc in the drive to do the initial purchase and have 1 pack of all 58 songs for $20 or somesuch.
FSK405K @ Jul 2nd 2008 1:28PM
I was thinking the same thing. If RB1 disk in drive, download RB1 song pack possible for $10. If no RB1 disk in drive, download RB1 song pack for $40.
Ryan @ Jul 3rd 2008 5:45AM
I just noticed something. Next to the new Rock Band 2 songs, isn't there a "2" inside of a disc icon. Could the fact that these songs are designated with a number while the DLC has its own icon point to the existence of the original Rock Band setlist?
Sam Earl @ Jul 2nd 2008 5:09AM
Good List!
I had already set myself up for buying GH:WT as it had Everlong. Well you know what Neversoft? Now RB has it, and you have to impress me with another song choice.
Maybe I'll get to save money for once, though I doubt it.

TechieDude @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:54AM
How cheap did they get Kim Wilde for? It's almost an insult to see her listed with Journey and The Red Hot Chilly Peppers.
Todd H. @ Jul 2nd 2008 10:04AM
Please thrown some Tool on the setlist, they would kill on Rock Band. Danny Carey's drums would be awesome!
