The Best of The Who Rock Band set list revealed
We didn't have to wait long to find out what tracks would be replacing Who's Next album DLC in Rock Band. This and The Seeker needed to be in there.
It's a great list, but somehow dissapointing because of that fact.
EMaster @ Jul 1st 2008 4:34AM
Same here.... Fuck!!!
jsn @ Jul 1st 2008 7:12AM
expect pinball wizard to be one of the on disc tracks for RB2.
Kevin Denehy @ Jul 1st 2008 10:22AM
My point exactly. It better be RB2 or there will be blood (not really).
SteveM @ Jul 1st 2008 4:09AM
Great track pack, and what do you want to bet that Pinball Wizard turns up on Rock Band 2? But the one that's got me going Argh is "My Generation (LIVE)". The other two live tracks are likely to be off Live At Leeds and if this version of My Generation is as well... and if it doesn't get cut down... it's 15 MINUTES long!
Squall @ Jul 1st 2008 4:16AM
It says it's a special edited version.
:(
klepto88 @ Jul 1st 2008 5:28AM
It's more likely from a recent (this decade) tour, with clearer recordings.
Sam Earl @ Jul 1st 2008 5:46AM
15 minutes! My god, when you said that my reaction was...HELL YEAH!
We obviously have two completely different mind sets. =P
MarkHawk @ Jul 1st 2008 4:34AM
No Pinball Wizard... but ... but I thought this was a Best of the Who Album...
Sam Earl @ Jul 1st 2008 5:48AM
You guys are right. The fact that Pinball Wizard is missing is a blow. Other than that though, this list is pretty good and covers a good majority of the basics.
Shame about the live tracks. Must have been a problem with the master tracks there too, I would think.
AwesomeTown @ Jul 1st 2008 7:19AM
Good list. Don't think I'd spend all $20 on it, but I'll get a few tracks. Eminence Front and Baba O'Riley at least. Probably Sea and Sand too, but I really wish they would get The Punk and the Godfather on there.
Rocket9.net @ Jul 1st 2008 7:54AM
Okay list... Where's Pinball Wizard???? Was crazy excited seeing the title of the entry, much less so without it. Particularily since Pinball Wizard was on the rather accurate "leak" list from months ago.
Egon Pax @ Jul 1st 2008 9:58AM
Yeah Pinball Wizard just HAS to be on the RB2 disc or something. RIGHT?!!
Seriously though, definitely going to have to download a few of these songs... probably not the whole album though.

Seems as though "Join Together in the Band" would have been appropriate.
But I am still siked!

We have officially entered the era where they release shitty DLC on purpose and hold all the good stuff back for the next disc.
Really annoying they insist on shoving a sequel out the door so fast. DLC stopped being good back in March.
Rip Tatermen @ Jul 1st 2008 1:11PM
Oh my god, Eminence Front? Seriously? That is the most insanely boring song EVER. The guitar riff has literally two notes, because apparently that is all Daltrey can manage. WTF is the guitar part gonna look like in the game?
Heh @ Jul 1st 2008 1:18PM
Pinball Wizard by The Who for RB2 or I rage in front of Har's office.
Also, they need to get some Dream Theater on RB2. That would truly be epic.

aww... i want The Seeker....

Amazing Journey better have sparks at the end or that'll be a major disappointment for me.
I'm glad they used the live tracks, and I really hope they're from Live at Leeds. That s some quality stuff there, and I think they're much better than the studio versions.
daddy dash @ Jul 1st 2008 8:49PM
What no Quadrophenia.....I'm sensing some sort of bias against schezophrenics.....no you're not you always say that...
totz @ Jul 18th 2008 12:08AM
Songs that I wish had been included that aren't:
Bargain, Let's See Action, Slip Kid, The Punk Meets the Godfather, Love Reign O'er Me, The Real Me, Naked Eye, Pure and Easy, Long Live Rock, I'm Free, Sparks (leading out of "Amazing Journey"), Another Tricky Day, My Wife, The Song is Over, Boris the Spider, Quadrophenia, Sister Disco, Pictures of Lily, The Seeker, Happy Jack, and 5.15
I mean, with Pinball Wizard on RB2, Won't Get Fooled Again on the original, and the rest on this compilation, it would be a truly awesome set of music. I'd also prefer the original "My Generation" over the Live at Leeds version EASILY, though a more recent version medlied (medleyed?) with "Cry if You Want" wouldn't be bad.
totz @ Jul 18th 2008 2:31AM
Wait... no "I Can See For Miles" either? Damn, they really fucked up.
