Here's hoping for the "doink-doink" sound from Law and Order.

In-game XMB was the mountain the PS3 had to climb in order to get everything else done. I'm not saying in-game voice chat and cross-game invites will be here soon, but getting from one game to a friend's on the PS3 will become a lot easier than it was, simply because you can see if your friend wants to play you during a game now.
I still think Devil May Cry 4 (If they support trophies) and Warhawk will have retroactive Trophy Support just because of how they setup their save systems.

I only have about 10 friends on PSN so I don't get a lot of messages, but I am really glad they are adding in game messaging in. Now if I can just get cross game invites then I'll be set.

Now for the xbox, i want an update that lets me choose whether to play or delete a file. Really poor OS design when you can only do either play/delete in seperate menu tabs.

Im lost with that. When I look at a file it says play and delete in the screen's menu and I choose which one I want. I dont see where you are getting the seperate menu tabs from.

Use a flash drive or an ipod to transfer them, or use your PS3 as a media center and connect it to the pc wirelessly over your network.

"Is there a way to transfer songs from my PC to my PS3?" Yes, it's very simple. You connect to the media server on your PS3, press triangle on the song/folder you want to copy and press copy =)

@NATo_Duke
Does my PC have to be on in order to do that cause thats not really a problem but one of the reason I use my portables is because I can just stick a charger in them and they'll last and I hate leaving my PC on just to play music.

Yeah, your PS3 needs to search the network to find the PC and then be able to access its content. If its off it wont show or talk to a network.

BTW, with windows I think you need to have media player 11 and then under tools go to options, then click library and click configure sharing and allow file sharing. Then go to the PS3 and have it search for the computer, and the computer will then say something is trying to connect to it - say ok, and then do the search for media again on the PS3 and it should connect.

Or did you think with a PS3 it somehow didn't need the computer on or the media opened up? No matter what console you use, a PC is still a PC and has to allow a connection and be powered on.

The real purpose of the in game XMB is achievements, background music and messenging. Internet browsing and that other crap is not something that people will use, so its not been added. Stop nitpicking.

This is almost as ridiculous as the Diablo 3 emo petition. I'll agree not having voice chat or the ability to invite/join friends' games is disappointing (something I'm sure they're working on), but aside going online to look something up why would anyone really want access to anything else? Is your game that boring you need to fiddle with settings or watch a movie? When I'm playing a game the only time I feel the need to get to the XMB is if I recieve a message. And in 2.4 that problem is solved.

*shrug*

Instead of whinning about what isn't there maybe people should be thankful Sony finally got the ball rolling in the right direction no?
