Even though Saints Row 2 and GTAIV are very different, Saints Row 2 isn't totally forgoing some sort of fleshed out storyline. Per the latest Saints Row teaser trailer, we're treated to a taste of what sort of story Saints Row 2 will follow, a glimpse at the characters involved and (of course) some in-game footage. It's a pretty interesting trailer at that. What's our favorite one liner you ask? "You definitely need a stripper pole in this b*tch" ... now that's classic Saints Row.

i think im gonna go back and paly saints row 1 to refresh my memory on the story. You know people talk shit about SR and its story but look at gta. Gta4 is about niko coming to america, gets cought up doing jobs to make money, and meets some people and intereferes with their lives. There really is no story at all, aside from roman getting married and what seems to be a side mission of niko in finding some guy who betrayed his military unit in the past. SR actually has more of a story. seems like in this one is about revenge and taking back your empire. So we dont have to worry about 90% of the games story revolving around a random person met who you do a job for.

This game will always be compared to GTA because they made it better than GTA.
Dont get me wrong.... GTA4 was good, i beat it, and now it collects dust.
The games are for different types of gammers. GTA4 appeals to the people who like slow paced follow one goal and game over. SR is for people who like that one goal and also like all the BS you can do while you achive that goal and after.
With that said.... I cant wait to return to Stillwater.

Wrong! That is Keith David. If you played the first one you would recognize the voice. If you played Halo or Mass Effect it would be familiar as well.

Any way..the game looks sweet. SR was good...but couldn't get into it as it was kinda hard and complicated and i had other games to play. Yea, yea...i am a noob...but some of the activities were needlessly hard. I hope all that's gone. I want a more streamlined setup like GTA 4.

The Saints Row series catches a lot of flack for a lot for reasons, but nobody can say that it doesn't have spirit.

Saints Row has always been the movie you watched on Cinemax at 1am over and over because while it wasn't Oscar worthy the action in it was just damn entertaining and fun!
