An exhaustive look at Game & Watch
It's time to take a look back at Nintendo's first foray into handheld gaming, nine years before Game Boy (and three years before Famicon/NES). Researchers at DS Fanboy have compiled an exhaustive rertrospective on the Game & Watch, in addition to interviewing two dedicated collectors. As is commonly written, know your roots.

I used to have a Tetris Watch way back when... I wonder what happened to that thing. If I ever find it, I hope the old battery didn't corrode the insides!

I have a couple of these. Donkey Kong Hockey is probably my favorite.

I still have my Mario's Cement Factory and some two player Donkey Kong variant (it's green). I used to play those things all the time when I was a wee lad.

Ok, I've got the Mario's Cement Factory from slide 16 and the two player Donkey Kong 3 from slide 20. I really need to get some of those flat watch batteries and try them out.

cement factory was my very first game.

How ironic this article came up. I was just rummaging around and found one of my old game & watch, Mario Cement Factory game... Fun and tough. I wonder how much it would go for on ebay?

I'm reminded how much the DS looks like these things. Everything old is new again.

OMG! My first gaming device was Mario Bros from slide 13. Man that was a poorly designed factory. Its still somewhere in my folks house.
My friend had the donkey kong with the barrels. That was pretty good too.

I had the old Mario wide screen one. It was freaking awesome! I played the carp out of that thing.
