One of the few Square Enix RPGs that will see release on 360 in the future (Septmeber 2 to be exact), the strangely titled Infinite Undiscovery has just recently had its box art released, and surprise, it's not covered in large-eyed anime style characters. To go with the reveal of the artsy box cover, we've got a collection of some rather good looking screens for the game. The shots show case everything from the varied environments to some of the battle system, the UI and characters.Infinite Undiscovery screens and box art

Surely 'forever exploring' would be 'Infinite Discovery'?
Undiscovery would be the opposite of Discovery wouldn't it? Once something's been discovered it can't be undiscovered.
And I'm going to lay my cards on the table here and say I don't even think 'Undiscovery' is a real word! Firefox would agree with me it would seem! Red underline!!

well, if it's discovered then there is nothing worth exploring.
if it's UNdiscovered or UNcharted then it's worth exploring right? in order to discover something that is undiscovered you must explore it right?
...i mean that's what i gathered from this dumb ass confusing title.

"infinite discovery" means forever finding your objective/goal.
"infinite undiscovery" means forever searching for your objective/goal or "forever exploring".
again, i'm just trying to figure this dumb ass title out.

did ya'll see the gameplay at GT it looks pretty cool but everything was in Japanese.
Hope this makes a sales spike in the JRPG market i mean come on 360 has
Tales August
IU September
something for october maybe fable but has that done anything in the Japanese market
TLR for the winter season
As you may notice I've changed my views a little with price drop in AUS which I hear is lower than the Wii(Oh shit!!) and the price drop coming to the US come on that rumor has to many facts its basically true. The 360 seems to have kinda gained its re focus now if they drop price in EUR again lower the price on accessories they can finally try to break that JRPG market by marketing the hell out of these JRPGs.

Only problem is Microsoft doesn't "market" the hell out of the majority of their titles. I never saw an add for Lost Odyssey and thats one of the best Jrpgs i've played since FF9. Microsoft has the best line up of role playing games this gen, 360 really is the console to own for them but they don't advertise it well enough... Especially in Japan. Both Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey could have done a lot better but their sales really reflect how non-existent their advertisement was. LO probably did better in US and Europe than it did in Japan.
As far as Infinite Undiscovery goes, it has potential but sadly it'll be over looked like most the jrpgs on 360 right now. It doesn't have the franchise backing of a game with the title "final fantasy". Mark my words, had Squarenix and Tri-ace Slapped the words Final Fantasy on it, you would have seen a console seller. Regardless of the game quality.
That and 'undiscovery' is a pretty lame title. How can you "undiscover" something? I guess it could be part of the games plot however its still not a very good title. Just saying undiscovery out loud sounds wrong, at least to me.

I believe this game will sell a units in america but what I'm worried about is the JP market its gonna be pathetic to have less then a million in the Jp market when they have more JRPGs then the PS3 and plus PS3s nuke hasn't even hit yet. Hopefully they give the JP market some stuff like bundles and extra shit(and us) that would sell consoles.

Based on the context of the movie, our protagonist will continually be forced to step outside of his comfort zone (whether it be in battle or through emotional struggles). He comes to grip with his identity in this game and by the end, realizes that there is so much more he can do (potential)....ergo the title Infiinite Undiscovery. I was very excited for the game but the quality of gameplay scenes have soured me a little. The cutscenes are gorgeous but then gameplay looks very disassociated with it.
Still, real-time combat is needed. That's why I can't wait for Star Ocean 4.

I can see this being my first Xbox360 game if Star Ocean 4 is confirmed to be a 360 exclusive.... Some games must be played at all cost.
