In the real world, buying a sassy lil' getup can be a cathartic release. In virtual land you just feel like a chump. So Tecmo, Team Ninja, Microsoft, whoever, take your Ninja Gaiden "horse armor" and shove it!
... Still reading? You're not actually interested in -- boy, this is awkward ... Okay, here ya go fella:

LMAO, that video just made my day.
Titanium_Orchid @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:06PM
As someone who bought the Oblivion Horse armor, I am deeply offended that you would compare two completely different things.
Good day sir!
waynski1457 @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:18PM
You're right, the horse armor was at least kinda useful.
ZING!
Ah who am I kidding, I'll probably buy one of these with my leftover points from my Soul Calibur purchase this morning...
Marty @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:18PM
I think that it's about time someone at Joystiq with a little less cynicism toward the subject started posting about DLC.
Jakka @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:22PM
True.I don't remember this kind of attitude when they were talking about those three/four shitty maps for 800 Points.
GreyFox @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:06PM
I don't know what you guys are talking about but paying $6 for three character skins is totally not a rip off.
Akamaru @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:11PM
You mean someone who will swallow any turd that Microsoft wishes to plop out? Are you available?
Michael @ Jul 3rd 2008 10:59AM
Yeah, this is just sassy and obnoxious. If you don't like it, don't buy it. And I doubt not being able to dress up your ninja is really the thing making anyone feel like they haven't gotten their 60 dollars worth out of the game.
Marty @ Jul 3rd 2008 11:00AM
@Akamaru - Please. I am critical of everyone.
It's so simple-minded to think that if I am hard on one company, I'll eat the turds from another. I hope you get past that someday.
ZapBranigan @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:21PM
Yeah, I hate to say it but I'm buying at least 1 of these.
J @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:24PM
F-that! I'll save my $2.50 to spend on clothing for my Webkinz, thank you very much.
juju187 @ Jul 2nd 2008 6:42PM
i just looked up webkinz now my daughter wants one damn you...
hotnutz @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:40PM
they are the "pet rock" of the internet age... Kids are obsessed with them. Personally, I think they are laced with some kind of addictive drug so that kids get hooked on getting more of them.
Jacksons @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:02PM
Things like this make games with free bonuses/unlockables seem that much better. In all honesty, they sound neat, but not neat enough to justify paying 1/8 what the whole game costs. That's insane.
Mr Khan @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:09PM
This is the sort of thing you should be able to "buy" with GamerScore
Maverick Saturn @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:18PM
I always knew Ryu had a feminine side, ever since that scene where he was crying. He puts on this macho ego impression, but deep down he's a billy elliot, he just wants to dance. The thing is, if you watch his graceful movements in-game, you will see he has the natural rythem needed to be a great dancer. Now he just needs to work on his voice.

I did not care for Ninja Gaiden 2. Felt like I was playing an arcade game from 12 years ago.
Vcize @ Jul 2nd 2008 10:22PM
Trust me, we all care very much!
Da @ Jul 2nd 2008 11:18PM
Yeah I know, it's awesome!
juju187 @ Jul 3rd 2008 12:12AM
i still like pretty arcade games.
know your roots
OTAM @ Jul 2nd 2008 10:30PM
I can totally understand where they charge $2.50 cents for a some pixel clothing. I mean,it must have taken someone at LEAST 15 minutes to make those new costumes.
Tyler Jones @ Jul 4th 2008 12:05AM
One can tell that you are indeed an expert on the intricacies of video game art design.
No one is making you buy them anyways....
OTAM @ Jul 4th 2008 6:47AM
It's not the point of being forced to buy them,it's the principle of this new bullshit trend where stuff that would be bonuses and rewards for say, beating the game on the hardest mode, has become shit they try to nickel and dime you for.
