Sweet! CT again!! Only gripe I ever have, is that it comes out on a handheld. Nothing gets me more then being pumped about a game, and then squinting to play it. If that's where they think the money is though.....

I finally have a chance to experience this game. Chrono Cross is a great game. I never bother to pick up Chrono Trigger when it came out for the PS.

I...I just can't handle all this joy.
I swear to God, though, if Square-Enix only releases this Chrono game in Japan I'm going to go fucking ballistic. Given the success of the series in the US, though (as opposed to a game like Earthbound which did much worse than expected), I don't think that will happen.

Hmmm, I've been playing Chrono Trigger on my PSP for a while now (via Remote Play and Final Fantasy Chronicles).
Count me as cautiously optimistic... if they end up using the same engine for the FF3/4 remakes, I'll probably pass.

Am I the only one who doesn't get what the big deal is? I've been playing the original on my laptop and I don't see how it was so big. Maybe it's that whole nostalgia bug going around again.

Let me just add I'm not hating. Congrats to the people who care about this. I'm just seriously wondering why this game generates so much buzz when honestly I'm struggling to keep myself from totally abandoning it forever. That didn't happen when I went through Super Mario RPG again.

It has nothing to do with handhelds smartass, plus I don't even have a PSP. Personally if companies are going to remake classic games they shouldn't take the easy way out and waste their time with handhelds and give the game a true remake on a console.

Frog's Theme is my favorite piece of video game music ever! the soundtrack for Chrono Trigger is the only video game soundtrack i've ever purchased, and it was well worth it.
(as well, look up the nu-jazz renditions of the chrono trigger songs, they're as amazing as the originals)
