Despite the fact that the newest of the Naruto games won't be coming to the 360, that doesn't mean that the franchise has left the console forever. According to several newly posted pages on a few different websites, we've got word of a new Naruto 360 project, apparently entitled Broken Bond. Supposedly set for release in November, Broken Bond deals with the rivalry between Naruto and the character Sasuke and is thought to be a continuation of the earlier 360 game Rise of the Ninja.

I liked the cel-shaded graphical style of the 1st one, but never actually tried it.
Anyone know if it was any good??

Yes, I beat it, it was very good, though the fighting system was a little weak.

I really liked Rise of a Ninja. It went through the Anime's story pretty well (until around episode 70, I think). I really liked it, though it did have a few annoying problems. I hope there is a new one, but I also hope that it is longer and cheaper... $60 was a bit much for it.
Fighting system was pretty good I thought, though it's possible to do some very cheap combo moves in combination to almost guarantee a win. Still, very fun to play.

I personally enjoyed the fighting system. I don't normally like most fighting games due to the myriad controls that require rote memorization to do anything beyond a simple punch, and Naruto: ROAN's fighting controls made a lot of sense. Moving around the game world felt very fluid and natural, the controls were intuitive, and the interfaces were easy to navigate.
Overall, it was a good game that could have been a great game with a bit more polish. In terms of graphics, audio, and ambience, you couldn't ask for better....it gives an excellent feel of actually being in the cartoon. However, a lot of the set pieces got pretty repetitive by the time you got to the end, and if you didn't know much about the show, some plot elements and characters are introduced rather jarringly with some very rough cutscene transitions. Enemies also got very old...there were only a few noteworthy battles with a lot of same-old-same-old random encounter battles in between.
I was really hoping Ubisoft Montreal would do a sequel. They have a great foundation for another game. If they're using the same engine and general structure, but putting in more in-depth missions with more varied environments and activities (e.g. NO HERB COLLECTING!) and more varied enemies to face, it's going to be a winner.

The reason why Ninja Storm isnt coming to 360 is because different companies hold the rights to each system Bandai-PoS3 Tomy-Nintendo Ubisoft-MS. Isnt X3f supposed to be a professional site? How come you people know so little?

First game was a good action/fighting game, but as others have said, the fighting system was very weak. As a 'fan' of the anime series, it tied very well with the story and spirit of the show. I'll probably just put this one on my GameFlyQ whenever it comes out.

I'm in the same boat. I never seen an episode of the series, but I loved the game.

Do we need more? What kind of a caption/question is that? ......
Anyway... First one was great and looked fantastic. The fighting system worked really well and the story mode was the best so far of any anime game in the franchise since they normally are just pure fighting games and its something i've always disliked. Things to improve upon is have all characters actually have personalities. More stuff to do in the city and so on.
My only beef is the Naruto for PS3 does look a lot better graphically (then again thats what longer development will do) and since both are console exclusives to their platforms, people buying it are obviously going to choose between a 360 or PS3 (unless they own both, most don't).

If you're not into the English language version of the anime, my advice is to download the japanese language track (it's much less grating).
Otherwise Rise of a Ninja is great fun. I have no interest in the show and just got the game via gamefly. So far it's a blast. Think Action-RPG with a hub town set up like Crackdown, where the more you improve your skills the more there is to explore, replete with orbs (coins).
Combat starts like a random encounter, but loads into a 2 & 1/2D fighter that, while simple compared to DOA and the like, offers enough depth and challenge to be worthwhile.
Exploration outside of town is akin to platforming sequences, that while somewhat linear and repetitive in their look and layout, remain fun thanks to their sparseness...
Like what you hear so far? I'd definitely give it a rent, or snatch it up if you find it on the cheap! I've been pleasantly surprised by this one... I think anyone with a penchant for Action-RPGs would feel the same.

To be honest and im not a fanboy when i say this(I have a xbox 360 with like 35 games so yeah im not) Naruto Rise of a Ninja was pathetic with its 11 character selection and like 3 stages...the fighting system was horrid as you took like half the life of a player with a strong punch/kick/throw lmao.seriously who are they kidding with a second game coming so soon when the ps3 one is coming(if there is a another naruto game for the 360 that is) I am buying a ps3 soon mostly for the exclusives like initial d mgs4 and some other ones,I also noticed that the video cinematics are heavily down sampled what was microsoft thinking doing dvd9 next gen games rofl.luckily i dont care as long as the gameplay its self isn't messed up.
