No sooner does Sony (briefly) improve the PS3 user interface with the much-talked-about version 2.4 firmware update, than some at the company feel cocky enough to start badmouthing the competition's interface. Speaking to Next-Gen, PlayStation Network Director of Operations Eric Lempel took the bait, comparing Sony's redesigned PlayStation Store to Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace. "I think if I look over at the competitors' UI they may have some issues just displaying content," Lempel said, "and scrolling up and down lists isn't the easiest way to find things." Tell that to McSweeny's, why don'tcha?
Lempel also pointed out that the PlayStation Store interface has "a lot of room with virtual shelf space to put a lot of things," a not-so-subtle jab at Microsoft's recently announced plan to de-list some Xbox Live Arcade games. "Depending on what type of UI you have you can accommodate a lot of titles," Lempel continued, "and specifically with our new store redesign which launched back in April we have a great ability to merchandise a wide variety of titles." That's all well and good, assuming your PS3 is currently working.

btw, why in the fucking world i cannot delete my credit card number of my xbox live account????
i dont feel so comfortable that way
It still stands that: 1. The PSN was not hacked. 2. LIVE accounts have been compromised. 3. Xbox fanboys are pretending the opposite of both of the previous.
(I'm not calling turtle a fanboy, but there are plenty of them here)
Oh, so phishing scam does not count as because social engineering is not considered a form of hacking now? I'm sorry, XBL accounts WERE comprised due to poor security training at MS. That's the truth plain and simple. The PSN has not had it happen (yet) but who's to say that it won't? The FUD spread by some of the people on this site is simply unbelievable.

First of all, your avatar, and your comment makes you come off as a complete jackass. If that's what you were going for, please don't be flattered.
This is the first firmware update that messed up a FEW ps3's. And sony was quick to ADMIT it and removed the firmware. Although not as quick as MS was to admitting they had an RROD issue, I'm sure. MS still hasn't admitted to all the other hardware issues.
how many firmware updates messed up xboxes? and you pay for that with ADs, at least! even though u can update for free. I mentioned the pay part because idiots have been saying the sony firmware update "failed" thanks to psn being free. Either way, MS, nor you has any credibility when it comes to Sony's current situation.
And this is nowhere near as fucked up as 360's RROD epidemic. People haven't brought up that story in a while, but we mention it every time a dick like you shows up. Put you back in the corner of the room where you belong.
Lastly, you're flat out wrong. PSN didn't get hacked........ PERIOD. Stupid.
Sadly, all the morons that voted you up knew you were full of shit, but they're so desperate for any negative misinformation about Sony they can get, since they're so insecure.
You must be new around here. If you're going to lie, don't pretend to be objective and be a little more creative, or stfu.
...actually, stfu anyway.
HEY EVERYBODY, HAVE A HAPPY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, SAAAAAAAFE, 4TH OF JULY! ;)
Meaning the video it is from and the DRM sony keeps pushing are equally absurd.
cry some more
Way to spew FUD, bullshit fanboy rhetoric and hyperbole only matched by the likes of Infinite un-legend THE Premature Asshat.
MS removing crappy Arcade games that nobody plays doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. But I do agree that the Market Place needs a redesign, so I hope those rumours are true. Although I wouldn't say the PSN is anything to gloat about, especially as almost everything they did with it seemed to be entirely influenced by Xbox Live.

No matter how hard you wanna try to defend Sony, they're always talking shit about the 360, and now that it finally happened to their console, they should just keep their mouth shut.
Were are you pulling this info from? your ass?

The 2.40 update caused problems and freezes and people got their hard drives with all their game and personal data erased. Not literally fried, as in it doesn't work anymore, but fried as in they lost all the data.
Oops, did I say that out loud? o_O Exsqueeze me.

Sony should just worry about fixing 2.40 before they start bashing their competitors.
