Rock Band Weekly: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rush

With tomorrow being the day the US became independent from France ... what, England, really? Anyway, Harmonix announced its tracks for next week's Rock Band DLC a day early. We've got a couple songs from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rush. "Working Man" was actually released as DLC before, but this version is a master and features an alternate solo.

Individual songs (160 MS points/ $2)

"Snow (Hey Oh)" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Tell Me Baby" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Closer to the Heart" - Rush
"Working Man" (Vault Edition) - Rush

Check out the videos for these songs after the break. The tracks will be available for download next Tuesday and Thursday for Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.

I really wish they'd put Rush's "The Spirit of Radio" or "Fly By Night" out for Rock Band, but at least these new releases are masters...

By the way, that 'Closer To The Heart' video with all the different decades of them performing that song is sick... Those guys must have sold their souls to the devil, because they're aging waaaay too well to be normal... or maybe it's the maple syrup?

i didnt know they did that for scratched disks. i thought the replacement plan was just for the instruments.
do i just go to the website to do that or do i have to call them up?

It's something EA does, it costs like $20. Somewhere on their website they have a thing about it.

I hate that I'm a bit late to offer this advice, but I've had my 360 scratch 2 discs (Rockband and DDR). I just took them to my local mom and pop disc shop and had them refinish the discs for me. It took about 3 minutes and cost me $1.09 USD each. They both worked like a charm after that. Then Rockband was stolen out of my car :(

Also, if you are in good with your local blockbuster/hollywood video/family video employees ... they've been known to do it for the free.

I would not recommend spending 30 bucks on the thing they have at gamestop.

My 360 scratched my Rock Band disc up and I called Microsoft and Harmonix back and forth until eventually I was sent to EA's number. I sent them my messed up copy and got a replacement for free besides the shipping cost.

We require more RHCP. Stadium Arcadium was good and all but there's so many more songs to choose from.

Also, I think there should be a movie starring Chad Smith but they should market is as a Will Ferrell movie to see if they can fool the entire world.

God, Under the Bridge is soooo over played. I love that song but if it's the only one from Blood Sugar Sex I'll go crazy. That entire album is fanf*ckingtastic! I'd venture a guess and say that it would receive more downloads than Pixies and Judas Priest albums combined. And clearly, RHCP is not adverse to having their music in a game.

the first time I saw Will Ferrell on SNL, I said " Oh my god! RHCP on SNL!" so I just MEGO since they my favorite band, then I just saw that they never came up on stage and saw he was just another guy.... OSINTOT... specially since they both are FLK...
