Rumor: More Rock Band 2 tracks listed
A second partial Rock Band 2 setlist, supposedly culled from a playtest, popped up on the ScoreHero Forum recently, only to be removed and its author disciplined by a moderator. Lucky for you, a Joystiq tipster (thank you!) slipped a crumpled note into our back pocket with the same list:
expansion sequel disc. Be sure to stretch it out and drink your fluids because the new "Endless Setlist" is shaping up to be a doozie.

Ordeith @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:25PM
Hell, still waiting on some Tom Petty.
That shouldn't be too hard, right?
kavendano14 @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:40PM
Comfortably numb, just imagine that fuckin solo!!!
Haggard @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:48PM
That'd be wonderful, but I hope they do a DLC pack (of the ones with more impressive guitar work) rather than a single song on a game.
ronald.raygun @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:28PM
some pink floyd and tom petty would be extremely freaking awesome. and then maybe some shins or modest mouse for my more indie side.
zeldazeppelin @ Jul 3rd 2008 5:45PM
hell yeah modest mouse man and pink floyd eh dont know much about tom petty sorry
Tiptup300 @ Jul 3rd 2008 10:44PM
Still curious about that puma.
Huey2k2 @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:04PM
Rage, Megadeth and Soundgarden. Nice.
Also I Hope American Woman is the original Guess Who track and not the Lenny Kravitz cover. I really don't like Lenny Kravitz.
MarkHawk @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:07PM
Isn't the Lenny Kravitz in GH:WT?
(looks for announcement video)
Not American Woman. But it is Lenny:

Whenever I see GH:WT it makes me thing Guitar Hero:White Trash.
Yuccadude @ Jul 3rd 2008 3:01PM
Sometimes I like to think it means something else, something that might make me think about buying it: Guitar Hero: With Tits.
Dralzz @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:05PM
If this is legit, it's shaping up to be quite a list.
Peace Sells, Aqualung, and Spoonman?! Woah.
juju187 @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:07PM
Now who's with me that you will need a new guitar>?
ps: or drums
baby sea tuna @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:28PM
Harmonix has proven so far that they are not in the business of fucking over their fans. Until I hear otherwise, I'm going to assume that no, you will not NEED to buy another set of instruments to play this.
copa @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:35PM
Harmonix is already on the record saying you can use your RB1 instruments with the game.
Farseer (GDI) @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:08PM
Not only can you use your RB1 instruments (and GH2/3 360 guitars), your RB DLC will also work with RB2. That, to me, is fucking awesome.
cjshrader @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:44PM
I think he meant you're going to break yours by rocking so hard.
But I could be wrong
zeldazeppelin @ Jul 3rd 2008 5:49PM
dude they screwed their fan with RB wii man. hat game is so gimped and sucky i didnt even reconize it
born2kill @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:08PM
How bout some 'Tornado of Souls' dammit?

Hey Aqualung!
OMGOMG @ Jul 3rd 2008 4:33PM

Go fuck yourself San Diego!
kingofwale @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:08PM
Unless they come out with a better guitar and better constructed drum.
I'm going GHWT
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:10PM
I agree.. As a drummer I tried using Rock Band's set and felt like I was on Mich Ave banging on buckets trying to get a buck. Nothing like the real thing. GH:WT is my pick.
God @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:17PM
"nothing like the real thing - GHWT is my pick"
single-sentence contradiction FTL.
Enjoy paying more money, being forced to buy DLC packs you don't want if you want DLC at all, having limited/no compatiblity with other peripherals or older DLC, and having shittier gameplay chock-full of power-ups and boss battles.
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:21PM
There is no contradiction there.. Stop looking into people's comments so deeply trying to pry each flame you can out of them. And I am content with the DLC and how it works. I am mostly interested in making my own music on something that at least tries to resemble a drum set.
MarkHawk @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:24PM
You guys are crazy...
Anyways if your going to bail on RockBand why not go a completely different route and try Rock Revolution from Konami... They've put out a good game or two. Who knows. Could be the next big rhythm game will be fighting over next year when Guitar Hero Revolution comes out.
(the above was a joke but I do have a serious question)
What is GH:WT doing so right that is making everyone forget the sort of negative last 10 months they have had. (not trying to be a jerk, just having a hard time getting into the hype)
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:27PM
MarkHawk, the main thing I see is the drumset. It is 100% better than Rock Band's imo. And no, I am not saying Rock Band is better or worse, I've barely played it. But what I did play on drums, was not fun.
baby sea tuna @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:32PM
I was unaware that anyone has actually *used* the new GH drum set, outside of a few early "hands on" sessions. Aside from the placement of the "cymbal" pads, what's the difference?
Some people say the rock band drums are too flimsy, I say they're hitting them too hard. Then again, those are probably the same retards that are putting wiimotes through their TVs...
copa @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:37PM
Peripherals are a pretty retarded reason to reject Rock band.
Unlike Activision, Harmonix has always actively encouraged the support of third-party peripherals, so that you can use your preferred hardware with the game.
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:39PM
I didn't mean to imply I have played the GH:WT set, I am basing my decision purely on the visual cues. The cymbals being raised and placed in the spot where cymbals should be is a dramatic difference than having the cymbals and drums on the same plane.
*let's hope I didn't double post this
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:43PM
copa, if you don't think peripherals are a legit reason to base a choice on, I think you're wrong. The reason I don't like the Wii is because of Peripherals, same as PS3. I have no problem buying Rock Band software once I obtain the drum set from GH:WT. Which, if I understand you correctly, WILL work with Rock Band 1-2?
*double posted..sryz
Nick Ritch @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:50PM
Since when does playing the drums on Rock Band make you a "Drummer"???
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:52PM
It doesn't.. If anything, it would almost have negative benefits.
Taylorman222 @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:01PM
Here is to hoping that those "raised cymbals" in GHWT dont get in the way of looking at the screen. Im sure that they thought of that... lots of people play on a 30 foot projector screen right?
The bottom of my 42" TV is just above the top of my rockband drum set in my line of sight while im playing. (TV is low to the ground) but i might just be in a wonky position. Those cymbals are gonna mess up my mojo.
natels @ Jul 3rd 2008 2:10PM
Never thought of that Taylor.. But I assume if you're A: tall enough or B: you can adjust the height of them (the latter being more plausible) I think it should be fine.
Brian @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:08PM
Jethro Tull would be a nice addition.
NukeAssault @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:15PM
Spoonman WOO!
Kizzle @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:16PM
WORST SOUNDGARDEN SONG EVER. What a horrible choice from a band that has plenty of good songs.
that guy @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:53PM
You think Spoonman is worse than Blow Up the Outside World? Tsk tsk...
Jason @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:58PM
The prime Soundgarden choice would be Jesus Chris Pose. That would be AWESOME.
Gwas @ Jul 3rd 2008 1:59PM
Seriously. It's like they haven't heard of the amazingness of Badmotorfinger. Black Hole Sun and then Spoonman? Where's my Jesus Christ Pose? Outshined, Rusty Cage, Drawing Flies, Searching With My Good Eye Closed? Oh wait... I'll take this as a full album instead!
