See Resistance 2's Leviathan boss

While GamePro is sharing the goods on Resistance 2 in its latest issue, we know that not everyone is a fan of getting their game news off the rack so we thought we'd share the first couple of screens from the magazine's cover story. Posted by the PlayStation Blog, the shots give us a look at Chimera-occupied Chicago as well as the city's resident boss, a massive 300-foot Leviathan. Honestly, we don't know if we're more excited to collect the Trophy for dropping this baddie, or simply watch him rip through downtown, Cloverfield-style.

Yup Cliffy B, err Cliff pretty much said himself that KillSwitch + RE4 = Gears :)

As for this beast, the head looks just like a Brumak, the body not so much.

Schedule an appointment with your eye doctor, you have issues with scale, size, color, proportions and shapes.

The only things that are remotely similar are an open mouth, more than 2 eyes and brown skin (Not even the same shade of brown)

here are the weapons im going to use to beat this son of a bear. 1. LAARK (and if it still has that lil trick i'll use it too) 2. Bullseye- classic weapon to kiil enemies by tagging them.3. Auger- great for protection and shooing at the same time.yup dis nigga is dead in my book

I didn't really like R1 at all, but I may give this a shot if this boss battle ends up cool. It's just so hard to fit stuff in with the bevy of great games already out and coming out soon though.

Ok so the idea is obviously unoriginal. But why does it have to be REALLY unoriginal. It even LOOKS like the cloverfield monster, on top of just being your standard giant monster attacking a city.

First of all, did you even watch Cloverfield? The monsters are like night and day here. One is a giant, angular, armored thing, and the other was a pissed off gorilla-fish-frog.

Second...when's the last time you played an FPS with a 300 foot tall monster attacking a city? I'm wracking my brain here and I can't think of one.

It may look like the Cloverfield monster somewhat but you can see where they got the design if you played Resistance.

The head looks just like the Chimeras that you fight throughout the game. So give it a big body and it becomes a blatant copy of Cloverfield..ok

If anything, the Cloverfield beast looks like a giant Chimera so its the unoriginal one.

The boss's design looks uninspired and bad, making the coolfact go down.

I'm not talking about the alleged brumak head I'm saying the torso and the hands look that way.

But really, is a massive monster, if its fun to fight and (hopefully) kill, then I don't care.

I know I'm going to get hell for saying this, but so far, everything I've seen of Resistance 2 (the video with the plane crash and the monster jumping at you, this, and some other screens) just looks so... generic.

That'll probably change as more media become available, but so far, I'm not really impressed.

I'm late but don't expect to be impressed it not an imPRESSIVE game just an average shooter for PS3 owners to scratch that FPS itch until another COD4 hits or Killzone 2 turns out to be good. 4.5 million sales for this while Gears 2 will have double.

But that Leviathan looks freakin sweet.
And it does not look like a Brumak.
More like the Leviathans from Ratchet and Clank: Future.

It does resemble Cloverfield, however.
