Here at Joystiq, we've been pretty consistent in our hatred of useless plastic attachments for the Wii Remote. We might have to break our streak, though, as we're uncharacteristically excited about the maraca attachments that were recently shown as part of the leaked box art for the Wii version of Samba de Amigo. There's just something about the weight and sound of those vibrating plastic beads that helped make the maraca shaking on the Dreamcast a transcendent experience, and one we're glad we'll now be able to relive on the Wii. We're not changing our minds on the Wii Wheel, though. We have to keep our hater-rating up somehow ...

Kyle, you better change that tag from GameCube to Wii, or there is going to be an epic shitstorm in the comments. Just a little heads up

It would really make this game's case much more appealing, if SEGA didn't have it coming out the same week as Wario Land Shake It, i.e. if they had stuck with the original release date in late August, i would've been all over it
Alas, it is not to be. Maracas ftw

You CAN use the Nunchuk. You have the option to play with two Wii Remotes, though.

Wow
Bundle this with a Wii and Sports and this would sell.
I'm interested.

This is what previews are for, my friend.
The game does allow you to use the nun chuck, but then you can't use the shells, of course.

"Admittedly, the nunchuck still isn't quite as sensitive as it should be, making for a slightly more vigorous shaking experience than is probably strictly necessary but there's absolutely no doubt that it works and, with Gearbox still tightening controls up prior to release, we've every confidence that Samba aficiandos and newcomers will be chuffed with the developer's control implementation."
I have played different games, and the only that had the motion sensing calibrated well enough was Wario Ware...many third party have had problems with them, including Ready at Dawn...so I wouldn't hold me breath on that...
