Mercenaries 2 news has been lacking a bit lately, so we were rather excited to see a new trailer pop up on the old Gametrailers.com. Actually, it's a developer walk-through video with the game's lead designer Scott Warner who shows actual level gameplay but played three different ways with all three Mercenaries 2 personalities. There's plenty of tactical, covert and overkill gameplay to view complete with head butts, helicopter hijacking, button mashing sequences and explosive goodness that really doesn't look too bad. Both visually and gameplay wise, that is, if you're into that kind of genre. But how about that demo?

I'm really looking forward to merc 2 mainly because i watched my friend play merc 1 while downing a six pack and blowing stuff. This game looks a lot better though with graphics and better destructible environments

as much as I want to believe that the the three characters play differently. I didn't see anything that looked exclusive to any one character.
supposedly the same 'roles' were applied to the characters in the last game. but the only major difference between the characters was the player model.
The languages gave you no real advantage or disadvantage.
