Also, the association stritcly with "boy" is kinda pointless, since it's used for both genders.

I'm glad to see the word made it in, but no reference to videogaming?? And in an age of (oftentimes obsessive) political correctness, they only chose the gender-specific "fanboy" term? They could've easily made the definition "one who is a fan of videogames; females sometimes denoted as 'fangirls.'"
