I wonder if KOEI were smart enough to delay it in Europe and spent the time adding trophy support?

Right now, thats about the only way they are going to sell a decent amount of copies, with WipeoutHD around the corner...

I heard a whisper in developer circles that Housemarque have shifted over 500,000 downloads of SuperstardustHD since last week's Firmware 2.40 release, which is quite tidy...

I believe that. As stupid and trivial trophies and achievements are, they do add a large amount of value to a game..

In an attempt to stay on topic: Isn't this the game that got a sub 60% on gamerankings.com on the 360 ?

I hate to sound pesismistic but ... is anyone excited about this game?

It's actually not a bad game, it's a little slow in some of the races, and the track designs are basic, but other than that it's a good time waster. The velocity races are the most fun however, since you only get weapons that will boost you along the track. They refer to the their trophy system as achievements, which caught my friend off guard when he saw "achievement unlocked" pop up on the screen. It would be cool if they did add the trophies into the game though.

I didn't like the demo at all. Don't even call it a WipeOut clone it was not worth of that.

The demo felt really, really slow, but maybe that's intentional to get you warmed up to the controls before you go balls-out 500MPH on the tracks. I'll reserve judgment, this looks like a decent rental at this point.

Is it PSN-only? I thought it'd be like Warhawk where you could choose...

Where the heck is WipeoutHD?
Wasn't it rumored to be out in May?
Is it a marketing issue or are they still polishing it?

They are still working on it, the game is not finished yet.
It is approximately 97% completed. (Words from Colin Berry, Lead designer. Check out WipeoutZone.com forums "Release Date" thread for more details ;))
