MySims inexplicably coming to PC
So, see if you can wrap your brain around this one. In the fall of 2007, EA released a boiled-down version of The Sims on Wii and DS called MySims, which went on to sell 1.5 hojillion copies. Now, perhaps looking to push it to the 2 hojillion mark, EA announced today that on October 27 of this year MySims will be coming to the PC ... so, does that make it a "boiled-up" version?
Yes, to be fair, the PC will be getting some new characters and new online features like the ability to play Tag and share your creations with friends. But you know what else the PC will be getting at some point? Sims 3. Just saying.

If 'The Sims' can put up with sending their avatars to the bathroom a few thousand times per gaming session, they'll take to the mind-numbing grind of making furniture that 'MySims' centres on, like ducks to water.

And the cash cow that is The Sims goes "MOO!"

Is that brunette 18?

I like how the original Sims was more impressive both in terms of gameplay and graphically.

They tried to emulate the Animal Crossing vibe and hook some of those Nintendo-ites with a bland replica. Unfortunately, they missed the whole point, completely.
Guess they figure PC users are just as gullible.
Ihavepants @ Jul 7th 2008 6:32PM
No, they think 13 year old girls are just a gullible, and they're probably right.

I like The Sims as much as the next person, but the console games are just not in the same league as the PC games. You really couldn't pay me to play them.

They had co-op!
Neil @ Jul 7th 2008 1:57PM
Co-op is cool, but if the gameplay feels gimped what's the point? To each his own for sure, but the console versions of The Sims is not for me.

wow wow wow!!!!! hold your horses!!!!!! MySims is coming to the p.c ???? the same platform that EA called pirated storm just a few days ago and the one who got the EA sports games suspended due to "piracy"???? well, guess we can all see the REAL reason why EA canceled their EASports line, is because those games SUCKS and the only reason EA bought the exclusive rights of the NFL, FIFA, NBA, etc. is to make sure no other company gets the original names of the players hoping that people will be so stupid to buy their crappy games just because it says OFFICIAL PRODUCT, well way to go EA!!! looks like your president wants another house of gold and which better way to do it than using your biggest check the sims with the evil pirate storm platform the p.c. now that´s what i call BULL$#!T

Wow. The Sims and all it's little children are being made by Maxis, and PUBLISHED by EA. Also, way to go the old Red Herring route and just insult EA altogether. I like how you connected the Sims with EA Sports. I'm just kidding. I hate it.

I want to say in my head that hojillion is a made up number, but I want to say in my heart that it is the best number.
bm @ Jul 7th 2008 11:52AM
No, the opposite of boiled down is obviously watered down. Basically what you're saying is, Mysims was the essence of the Sims with all the useless stuff removed, and now they're adding the useless stuff back in?
Neil @ Jul 7th 2008 11:55AM
LOL....condensed soup style.
David @ Jul 7th 2008 4:01PM
As a recovering simophile, a part of me is still wants it. NO STOP DAVID. STOP IT NOW.
