YEA BABY! I've been keeping up on 09 features. CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS! This means you can choose a soundclip/song on your hard drive and when you score, it will play. Fuckin awesome. New defense modes too. Theres a website that has all the NHL teams current and pass goal songs and horns.

Dude, I'm excited about this game too...I was excited about 08, but it had a lot of issues, so I pray 09 delivers. 60fps a great start, lack of crashes will be even better! Custom sound clips will be sweet too, I've hated EATrax since it was introduced.

up, EA got the memo. 60FPS locked. I though NHL 08 ran fine, except the close up of the cutscenes slugged

Also, their going to add a Superstar mode. I guess like madden. Not into it. But you start in the Minors and your either a forward, defense, or goalie. (guess what I'm gonna be lol) and you work your way up to the top and NHL 09 integrates the PS Eye and you get to make your own Upper Deck cards and put them on the EA Sports world site.

Knowing EA and PS3. I doubt it. Im sure they will just copy what you need to do for the 360 in Achievements and just use them as Trophies.

Anyone know if they will actually model more than 5-6 players per team this time? I was really disappointed that the 2nd-4th line of every team looked the same (or at least nothing like themselves) in NHL 08.

lol yea i know. Paul Statsney look nothing like what he does in real life, and hes a first/second liner! I have a feeling they might add more, but lesser known guys wont be, like rookies and minor leaguers

heh.. I haven't owned or really played a hockey game since Gretzky on N64. I just started getting into following hockey though this last season when I randomly decided to go to a Caps game. Now I'm starting to get pretty into it (Doesn't hurt that we got the best player in the league here in DC).
