It's called sarcasm. He doesn't literally think the game could have come out for the N64, but rather that the graphics are so terrible that to call them current gen would be a farce.

Marzz, I get what your saying, but looking at it. There isn't very much more difference then a slightly higher resolution...

I actually kind of liked Castlevania 64, even though it was hard as hell.
This game, though, eh. It doesn't look all that great. I think I'll stick to Soul Calibur.

I forget, what was Konami's last fighting game? Surely it wasn't Deadly Arts on the N64, though that's kinda the vibe I get from these screenshots. I'd personally prefer another middling 3D adventure game over a fighter but I'm still intrigued for more.

1. change the increasingly androgynous/fruity anime direction
2. focus on single-player games
3. not half-ass the development of 3d games (i.e., fire everyone responsible for some of the blandest, most repetitive environments I've ever seen in adventure gaming [see: Curse of Darkness]).
