Gears replica Lancer get priced and pre-order'able

Hopefully you've saved up enough weekly allowance or have been busy collecting aluminum cans, because it's time to cash in and put your hard earned money towards those long awaited Gears of War replicas.

Available for pre-order from TriForce Sales is a lifesize, three foot long, fifteen pound, blood stained and wicked "badass" Gears of War Lancer replica. And it's only $949.99. If weapons are too NRA for you, you can plop down your $549.99 in pre-order cash on a twenty pound Locust Drone bust that comes complete with stand, a fleshy gray coat of paint and a smattering of glistening drool. Both products will be shipping sometime during Q4 2008. But, as you can see, TriForce isn't offering up any COG armor like they originally promised. Maybe it was too expensive to develop or maybe they're still perfecting the look. Yeah, they must be perfecting the look. View all the photographic goods below.

Sorry, but for a thou', that Lancer better cut down some limbs (wooden or otherwise).

What on earth is it made out of to justify such a cost?

I know, I was all for buying it, then I saw the price. I would rather buy an M16 from the Black market and Duct tape a chain saw to it before I buy this, which doesn't shoot stuff.

Am I the only one that is SICK of all this news about little dumb action figures EVERY DAY? Who buys this crap anyways?

Oh whoops, this one is a little different as it is actual size, but there already was a new action figure on this site today.

Yea man i feel your pain, i get completely frustrated with all the Xbox 360 related gaming news on this website.. I mean, what gives !?

I buy the toys when I'm interested in them. I've been a collector of action figures, gaming and otherwise my whole life ever since Super Powers toys in '84.

I buy action figures and I've been collecting them since the Super Powers toys in the early 80's. So yeah, I personally appreciate the action figure news on this site! Not many other gaming sites do this, and I like that other people share my interests in that regard. I don't buy everything under the sun..but I like action figures and I love being a hardcore gamer. The two go together for me like PB&J :)

Honestly I'm not surprised at all, they never said it would be cheap and in an interview they even said it would be very expensive. Its nice but out of my price range.

I'm all for supporting small companies. I'm even up for giving EPIC their fair share with royalties.. but $1K?

You can legally buy a working assault rifle for that much money. I'm waiting for some modder to make an add-on that clamps onto the accessory rail. It may not look 100% but it would actually be able to be used to put food on the table as well as look bad-ass.

I agree with all ppl agruing about the action figure explosion lately.
But anyway, almost 1K for a fake gun that would prolly look AWESOME to be walking around with during holloween or something. But 950 is just too much. I know its made of great quaitly but just like the gears and Spartan suits, nobody is going to buy if the price is like twice a payment for a car. And with the gas price going up and up by the day. Buying a toy gun is way to expensive. Its probably cheaper to be a real gun and robbing an idiot who bought the lancer.

For a grand they should make it a real gun. Just whatever material they're using to make it look like a lancer as the casing, and put that on an m16. Presto.

Still though, there are a lot of people with disposable incomes out there and given my love for Gears of War (even though I freaking HATE the lancer) if I had that kind of income I'd probably get one.

Now let's get to work on the torque bow replicas please.

..I wouldn't buy this 'replica' though..the closest I got was a few of the ForceFX lightsabers. At least you can play with them.. :)

Wow no thanks. If i was desperate it really wouldn't take all that much to make my own replica. And probably a better one at that.

Sadly because of COD4, I've wanted to shoot a real M4 Carbine. I'd never want to own one (or a Lancer, regardless if someone ever made a functional one.)

I do collect swords though..those don't need to be reloaded if the zombie war begins.

I really can't imagine spending that much money on something that doesn't actually work, but hey, to each their own. There's a cheaper version out now as an Amazon exclusive.

i pre-ordered the lancer from tri force.. only got one email from them telling me they are not sure on when it will be done,i asked can it be ready for halloween, but no luck..so if they are telling everyone 4thQ ..when should we get it christmas??? the point of having it was for halloween and gears2 launch day...:( they PR people suck...
