Judge recommends permanent disbarment for Jack Thompson

In addition, Judge Tunis recommends that Thompson be assesed a $43,675 fine for the legal costs incurred by the Florida Bar. In May, Thompson was found guilty of 27 out of 31 charges made against him in a misconduct suit brought before the court.

The fine is a little much. You take away a man's ability to work in the field he spent time, money, and worked in all his life and yeah, that's pretty bad, but it's his punishment. Then you ask for almost $50,000 from him? Guess he won't have the kind of money to send his kid to buy any more M rated games. I'm all about laughing at Jack T., and he's a horrible attorney, but this seems to be just kicking a dog when he's down.
Surely there's some religious nuts who need a good raving lunatic to be the face of their organization, right?

You reap what you sow. He was a horrible attorney and a horrible excuse for a human being. He deserves disbarment for the first alone, and the fine for the second. I would not be sad to see this piece of shit starve and die out on the streets.
