The last we heard from Duke Nukem 3D on Xbox Live, it was "several months away" as of January ... well that time has come and passed with nothing to show for it. Now comes two new pictures from "SV" that purportedly reveal his Dukeness in the Xbox Live Arcade system, with some achievement icons and, in the second picture, 25 points for completing L.A. Meltdown on any difficult in co-op.
So Duke Nukem 3D is gunning for XBLA with co-op? We're not convinced by these pictures, but our imaginations are running wild. We've placed the second picture after the break; consider this a rumor.

I think Doom was released on the day of X06.
And yes, Duke Nukem 3D would be awesome, such fond memories of the Saturn version...

Time flies, does it not? Seems like just yesterday I was freezing my balls off outside of a local Target store to get my hands on a 360 at launch.

Who cares? Go play it on your PC, it's cheaper than buying it again and you can use a mouse and keyboard.

Did you know that some of us prefer using dual analog controllers? I know I do, and I can't be the only one.

Ha just what I was thinking. Why don't you put some original games on live for a change.

Hmm... I for one have never heard of this breed who like dual analog. Regardless, I imagine it's a pain getting XP to run DN3D, as I was recently trying to get some old games like Blood Omen and System Shock 2 to work, and had to give up.

I think most people who end up getting it on the console just prefer to have everything in one place, and of course for them, it's easier to run. I'd probably get it on XBLA if I knew my friends would get it and we could play co-op, but most of my friends with 360's weren't PC players back in the day like I was, and so some of them probably have no clue who Duke Nukem is...and I pity them.
Still think MS should add KB/M support AT LEAST on the next Xbox, though. These consoles are just streamlined PC's, after all.

WANT.
I got my roommate hooked to Soul Calabur, so maybe some Oldschool Duke Nukem Co-Op would be just as addicting...

My optimistic side: "Bring this out ASAP. Get it the hell out NOW."
My pessimistic side: "Someone probably has too much time on their hands. Don't get your hopes up."
Which side will win???

Not sure why my previous post was deleted, I quoted Duke and I guess it included a naughty word... sorry Joystiq... didn't mean to hurt any feelings!
Anyways the more important part to my post was
"I hope they include the Plutonium expansion pack" because it included some great levels with tons of funny moments.

The biggest problem with Duke coming out on XBLA is the same problem with Doom coming out on XBLA. Or Marathon. Or Turtles. Or anything.
You'll buy it, play it once, then realize you have a hi-def TV and hi-def games to play on it.
It's sad, I know, but search your feelings. You KNOW it to be true.

I do seem to remember last year at e3 they made a huge announcement about Doom coming to the XBLA, and then they said it was available, right now. Would be great if they did the same thing with Duke Nukem, this is the game I've been waiting for since I first heard about the Arcade.
Well, this and Vigilante 8. Who needs any full release games after this? :P

Don't know which I loved more in multiplayer - freeze ray (kick and shatter), shrinking (STOMP!), or laser trip wire.

I wonder if 3DRealms will use the money they get from this to make Duke Nukem Forever. Also I wonder if PSN will get this too. That being said I can't wait to play Duke on Live.

Second that.
It could be fake but I remember last E3 Sonic and Golden Axe were the surprises of the show.
Nobody steals our chicks... and lives!

I wonder if the camera will be as nauseating as the other old FPS' on 360. And will thy update the graphics? I mean, Duke looked good 10 years ago, but things have moved on.
