We thought it was important to comb through Spike TV's E3 coverage plans, if only so we could plan our walking paths to put us in front of the cameras as much as humanly possible. But imagine our surprise when we actually found news hiding within our ticket to stardom. Check this listing:
"Geoff Keighley is on the E3 show floor to give Spike viewers the inside scoop on the sights and sounds of the show. Also, tune in for more world exclusive surprises including something special from id Software and Raven Software. -- Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16 (11:59 PM - Midnight, ET/PT)"
Something special from id and Raven, huh? Could it be the 2-and-1/2-years-in-development Wolfenstein follow up that's supposed to arrive this year? Yeah, we think that's a pretty safe bet. Here's hoping we get to hear more about another return to the castle next week.

Oh, thank God. It was beginning to look like there weren't enough first person shooters out there! I hear this one's got Nazis too! My originalitorometer is going through the roof! What'll they think of next?! Maybe some sort of Space Marine vs. the forces of Hell shooter?
Nah, that's just crazy talk!

Wolfenstein has always been THE World War 2 shooter, despite what anyone else says.
And Wolfenstein games always find ways to not be like every other generic WW2 game out there. Take for instance the multiplayer in RTCW, by todays standards its only merely average, but back in the day it was absolutely amazing.

It's kinda dumb to say something like that since we don't even know if this game will even make an appearance yet.

For the record, a lot of the Treyarch staff were part of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein development staff, until the company broke up.
Let's wait and see for Call of Duty World at War, if its true that CoD3 was made in 1 year, then I think that shows that they might have the skills to make a great shooter, if given enough time.

Screw wolfenstein, I want a proper sequel to Soldier of Fortune II. That game was the best military shooter before COD4 came out.

Hate to tell you guys this, but Wolfenstein remains one of the greatest shooters of all time. It's not like Goldeneye, good "back in the day". This game still beats out many shooter,s and this could be my most anticipated release EVER if true.

i would rate the multiplayer for rtcw and especially rtcw: et as the best multiplayer fps's i've ever played tied maybe to the original team fortress, can't comment on team fortress 2 since i haven't played it yet.
