Wow, this game looks incredible! I have to say though, the waggle doesn't seem to add a heck of a lot. There's just so much....shaking. It's obvious why but still.

And I'm a fan of waggle (well executed, that is).

Ok, justin mcelroy didn't find a colourful dinamic 2d sidescroller fun. I bet he hates sonic or mario.

Come one, Joystiq, the first screenshots and the first gameplay video of this game showed exactly the same things in this video. You would have to be a moron to see any of the screenshots with wario holding an enemy and adjusting the angle of the toss, or with wario inside a cannon or submarine and not realize these actions are supposed to be done using the wiimote angle. Same applies for shaking treasure bags (duh, look at the game's name), spinning while hanging from a pole or making an earthquake. Wasn't it obvious from the start, considering the wiimote has only 2 action buttons and we already knew one of them would be used for jumping and another one for attacking?

Also, what is the problem with the control scheme? Sounds really fun to me. How can someone play Zelda: TP and shake the wiimote everytime you need to attack an enemy and say the controls in that game were good? So why complain about a game that requires the player to shake the controller only in specific points? I'm sure tilting the controller while holding it horizontally will feel intuitive and comfortable. "Shaking" has been implemented in ALL Wii games developed/published by nintendo so far (name one where it wasn't). Even metroid prime 3(grapple beam!), which is always acclaimed for its perfect control scheme... How wouldn't someone be expecting it from a game with "shake" in its name?

This is the first time I've seen Joystiq being so unfair with a game. So far I have always agreed when they bashed a game or praised it, but complaining about something as predictable as this is kinda stupid, specially when it's something that actually sounds like a good idea for me. I hope this game will be good enough so the person who wrote this will regret ever having such a bad impression of a game that's so promising.

Zetsubou shita! Joystiq ni zetsubou shita!!!
I'm in dispair! Joystiq has left me in dispair!!!

Agreed, especially with the Zelda reference. Didn't break the game for me, but man what a hassle right?

I don't see what's so bad about this game. 2D, subtle use of motion controls...heck, if the PS3 had used this game to show-off their sixxaxis controller at E3, their launch would have broken records.

Whatever the case, I remember another game that didn't use Nintendo's "gimmick", Yoshi's Island DS, and it's one of the best games on the system. It's not a big deal, as long as it's a good game.

They better make this as imaginitive as Wario Land 4. That was my cousins and mes favorite gba game. It was the first game I did a speed run on. We would race to see who could finish it the quickest. As long as it has the imagination and puzles up to par with Wario Land 4 i'll be very happy.

I think this looks great. The platforming doesn't require use of the 'Shaking' so the main element to the game remains in-tact. And the Wiimote use actually looks really good such as tilting it for canon shots, or spinning around on poles. I like all of those ideas so far. The money bag shaking is the only 'chore' looking feature of the bunch.

It could be tacky motion controls, or it could be a beautifully simplistic game. We won't know until we get it. So don't freak over a bit of movement.

It won't make you lose your moobs. =3

One of the few times wii controls are intuitive and you guys complain about it? Sometimes you guys just love to stir up drama don't you?
