@Fernando I am also in "meh" territory.

Also, what are referring to when they say "destructible environment"? The chandelier and tapestry's?

Seems some have yet to discover the reply feature...hmmm.

I can't decide if I like the graphics or not.

The level geometry looks very simple to me - all 90 degree angles and parallel surfaces.

The animation seemed stiff and the framerate a bit unstable. And unless I see some smokin' Bond girls, pass.

I'm not convinced... REMEMBER: Treyarch is developing this game... I thought that Call of Duty 3 looked great too and that didn't turn out so well. I really hope that this game comes out alright because I have been waiting for a James Bond game since Agent Under Fire and Nightfire... No, they weren't great games but they were at least decent enough to enjoy.

Is it just me, or does the gameplay of every third-person shooter (yeah, I know this is also First person, but it still counts) that has come out since Nov 12, 2006 look the same: press a button to have the computer hide you behind something automatically, and then pop out or blind fire to kill the enemy. I guess it's just me. Oh, and I just randomly picked Nov12, 2006 as the date. It's not like it means anything.

Gears did it really well, and now other companies are "copying" it. I really like games with cover systems. Besides, how else would you get into cover? It's either Gears style (button press) or FPS (literally go behind an object and no longer see the enemy)

Gears did the cover very well. Of course, it was not the first one, but it was the first one that did it in the right way.

But is hard to convince some people: I was actually chatting in MSN with Noshino and sheppy last night, and aparently, to them, Resistance 1 is better than Gears of War.

@Fernando

Hahahahahahaha. They're Silly.

I'm starting to get excited about Resistance 2 though. Perhaps by now the humans of our recent past and aliens that are capable of interstellar travel will have teamed up and developed a way to make all their guns shoot bullets that don't vanish into thin air after they travel 20 feet.

hehe I know...

They told me that Gears didnt bring anything innovative... they told me that Gears was not very good received.

Noshino told me that Resistance has an actually great story...
... and sheppy told me that Resistance is better online than Team Fortress 2. Go figure.

I know kill.switch did autocover before Gears, but it wasn't until Gears that every 3ps and their grandmother started to copy it.

I just hope he isn't wearing the tux through the whole game. It's very easy to look at it as a bond skin over COD because of the engine. I need to see more than just the shooting, if there is any.

It looks pretty smooth to me. I'm not certain if it'll be worth the price-point though. It'll have to get CoD4 caliber reviews for me to buy it at sixty dollars.

I never cared for the CoD engine. Everything looked real plasticy, especially environments they looked sorta stale and very devoid of life and color

Looks quite good.

Also, I lol at the people who are saying it will be bad because Treyarch is making it. The only time I ever heard criticism about them was all the CoD3 shit. And I liked CoD3.

But yeah, game looks awesome so far IMO.

Bond games have generally been decent, with a few notable exceptions.

The graphics and animations for this look like ass, though. Was it developed with the Wii in mind, or what?

It looks nice, but it looks SO familiar. I'm sure it'll look and play nice, but I already feel like i've played it a dozen times.

Maybe its because it doesn't have the classic bond tunes in the trailer, its amazing how much a small bit of music can stir up your emotions.

Too much shooting. This is supposed to be James Bond, suave, debonair secret agent (though the "Daniel Craig" Bond is more of a "get the job done at any cost" kind of a guy). James Bond rarely uses guns.

For once, I'd like to see a Bond game play more like a contemporary action-adventure game rather than an out-and-out shooter. Give me Zelda with a Bond skin and somewhat less combat, and I'll be first in line for it.

Looks like Bourne Conspiracy takedowns and quick-times but with Rainbow Six Vegas-style gunplay. Considering the disappointment Bourne Conspiracy was I'm a little hesitant, but bring back classic Bond multiplayer (read: Goldeneye) with perks and all that borrowed from COD4 and we may have a decent title.
