So they are moving her onto this pretty mcuh already complete game just for the publicity of having their pretty girl that nerds like name and face promoting it.

That is insulting to our intelligence and also insulting to women and especially the talented Raymond, who is not just some PR babe.

Yeah, it cant be read as anything but a stunt. She is a model with the company's business card.

That's degrading to her and to the people who actually produced the game.

UNLESS, the game was going horribly, the original producer was fired and she had to step in to pick up the pieced and finish the game. Then she is a hero AND pretty. And that is pretty cool.

We need more spin. Ubi? Jade? Anyone?

It could very well be that thing you said as well Korova. It's unfortunate that thanks to the mindest of people in this industry we'll never really know if it was.

They more or less did the same with Assasin's Creed; the difference is she was there from the beginning, but they "used" her to promote the game - when is the last time you even heard the name of a game producer out of the business circles?

Smart & good-looking female working on a game.. more like "Hey guys, she's gorgeous, let's put her EVERYWHERE! Teenage boys will love this!".

Sad thing is, it works all too well.

Everytime there's a Cliffy B game do you feel the need to insert how hot Cliffy B is in your article? Even as "satire". It would be equally true and equally demeaning.

To be honest I'm not sure what Jade did exactly, since She is the producer I guess she gave the whole concept wings but sadly everything the whole AC Team did was just a really cute Tech Demo with a story that ended in the worst cliffhanger ever and with the idea of making sequels as if the story was so genius people would pay more to see what happens to our cardboard hero Desmond.

Seriously even Halo had the decency of pulling that crap on the sequel.

@ Marty:

I am not trying to say she is not good, Assasin Creed was certainly good, but I am afraid she is just there doing nothing, but to speak for the DarkWorks game.

I am not implying the game will turn bad, but you know it ;ll be definitely sucks if companies do that for and the titles turn out terrible. Which why I am skeptical of using sex appeal for games

@ Mr ESC

The game still good despite its flaws, and proves she is a capable producer

I don't see why this is being reported - there's nothing newsworthy here aside from Jade's obvious status as an attractive woman in the gaming industry, which is a really pathetic reason to give something this much attention.

She didn't make Assassin's Creed, she "produced" it, so her presence as a "brand name" is meaningless. She's a glorified booth babe.

If she had her named tied to some garbage like Shrek-N-Roll, would we still have to hear about the game ad nauseum in the gaming press, just so news sites can grab a few more adsense bucks by posting a pretty face?

Joke all you want about nerds swooning. You're still giving Ubisoft undue press coverage solely for the appeal of an attractive female, and that's pretty pathetic.

A Playboy centerfold could have a PhD in particle physics but it doesn't change the fact she's nude in a magazine meant to masturbate to. Producers never get the press coverage that Ms. Raymond is getting and she is being utilized as sex appeal. Credentials, education and ability aren't being advertised here, a pretty face is.
