Microsoft E3 2008 press conference: Let's play bingo!
In anticipation of next week's E3 Media and Business Summit, we've prepared bingo cards for each of the big press conferences, filled with some likely (and some not-so-likely) predictions for what each of the big three console makers intends to announce at arguably the biggest trade shows of the year.
Today's card is for Microsoft (special thanks to X3F). We're going out on a limb and giving Avatars away as the free space. Click on each of the slides above for more information about our predictions. Microsoft's E3 press conference is scheduled for next Monday at 10:30 am PT (that's 1:30 pm Joystiq Time / ET). As always, we'll be liveblogging the event, so you can play along in real-time with us.
Stay tuned for more press conference bingo cards in the days leading up to the conference. (Also: check out our bingo card for Sony's press conference.)
Download a copy (PNG file) and play along!

Hahaha :)
I love it. I'll be playing along for serious. You should get a random number generator to make random boards :)
NATO_Duke @ Jul 10th 2008 12:04PM
Holy Sh*t! I did not just see you suggest MGO released on the 360. Everyone grab your flamesuits.
xFenixKnightx @ Jul 10th 2008 12:08PM
I saw that too, lol. Oh noez!
FOXHOUND @ Jul 10th 2008 12:12PM
I think there's a better chance of ETERNAL DARKNESS2 than MGO cross-platform. :\
343 Guilty Fart @ Jul 10th 2008 12:24PM
At least it would save me the money of buying a PS3 for one game.
FOXHOUND @ Jul 10th 2008 1:54PM
343--
Buying any videogame console for one game as your *sole* reason for purchase, is just dumb. 'nuff said.
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Jul 10th 2008 2:41PM
@Foxhound
You speak the truth.
Fullmetal Salchemist @ Jul 10th 2008 3:13PM
Eternal Darkness 2 on the 360? Won't happen. Nintendo owns all the rights to the game, as well as the patent on the sanity meter.
Misfit Toy @ Jul 10th 2008 5:41PM
And we know how much Nintendo loves to share...
(see Goldeneye remake)
GearSecond!! (a.k.a AwesomeStuff) @ Jul 10th 2008 5:49PM
PK SHITSTORM!!!
Hyams @ Jul 10th 2008 8:10PM
*shrugs* The 360 can have it. It's a decent enough game, but I can't imagine any PS3 fanboys getting worked up over it.
The way Konami are squeezing ever penny they can out of MGO is really disenheartening too, especially when you contrast it with MGS4 and all the free stuff we're getting for that game. Heck, if anything, this just makes it more likely MGO will become multiplatform: if it'll make a little more money, Konami are gonna do it.
MGS4 is like a classy girlfriend; MGO, meanwhile, is a prostitute.
Markez (MKWii 4339-2878-5120) @ Jul 10th 2008 12:06PM
Just drooling here over the thought of Eternal Darkness 2.
Oh, and that Alan Wake might actually see the light of day...
SUPER HI TECHNICAL SCHWEET
Magnificen7 @ Jul 10th 2008 12:09PM
Xbox Live free? Ah ha ha ha, yeah right. That cash cow isn't out to pasture yet.
Vault @ Jul 10th 2008 12:29PM
Bwahahahahaha! Free XBL!?
Oh man, that literally made me laugh out loud.
samfish @ Jul 10th 2008 12:11PM
B: yes. yes. yes.yes. no.
I: yes. yes. no. yes. no.
N: no. yes. lol yes. only a timeframe. yes
G: yes. yes. god how lame would that be? no. yes.
O: yes. yes. haha- I hope so! hell no. yes.
Andrew Corcoran @ Jul 10th 2008 12:24PM
Kudos on the Alan Wake no-show. That's a damn shame; I want that game.
Levi @ Jul 10th 2008 12:13PM
Ok, c'mon. Is there any substance to the rumor that there is really going to be an Eternal Darkness 2? I highly doubt it due to the Too Human trillogy.
Xav de Matos @ Jul 10th 2008 12:17PM
Actually, yes.

Xav de Matos @ Jul 10th 2008 12:20PM
Updated the Eternal Darkness 2 part with that link.
Levi @ Jul 10th 2008 1:49PM
Wow! Thanks for sharing that article. I've never seen that before, and that mystery game does have ET2 written all over it.
The_Punisher @ Jul 10th 2008 12:14PM
Wow, 9/10 of these are definitely not true. At least Sony's bingo card was a little possible....
xFenixKnightx @ Jul 10th 2008 12:16PM
These are more exciting though.
Xav de Matos @ Jul 10th 2008 12:20PM
Yeah. Why be safe? It's supposed to be fun.
Mr.ESC @ Jul 10th 2008 12:23PM
I agree this one is better.
I really want to see ED2 and Alan Wake and Duke Nukem 3D in the xbox live.
The_Punisher @ Jul 10th 2008 12:39PM
LOL. I'm not saying i don't want them to happen. I'm saying they're not going to.
Alan Wake? Ignored
Too Human? THe only reason to give people a demo would be so they WOULDN'T BUY IT judgining from people's previews (i still think it looks cool).
MGO? Gimme a break
New Rare game? They already have two that honestly look pretty meh. I don't think they need any others right now.
Live Free? HAHAHAHAHAHA. I agree. This list is definitely funnier at least.
New SKU? Uh.....they have four as of now. Unless they get rid of one, not guna happen. In fact, if they DO get rid of one, people will still be confused.
Halo Chronicles? I thought i finished the fight?
Vidikron (FU) @ Jul 10th 2008 1:39PM
I'd say the new SKU is almost a definite "yes". It's basically a 2-for-1 with the 60 GB hard drive. If the 60 GB hard drive is true, then so is the new SKU.
NATO_Duke @ Jul 10th 2008 4:54PM
"Too Human? THe only reason to give people a demo would be so they WOULDN'T BUY IT judgining from people's previews (i still think it looks cool)."
That would be block N3 you are talking about right? The one MS has confirmed? So more items may be possible than you thought.
The_Punisher @ Jul 10th 2008 5:04PM
You should read my comment on there ;)
Still, i'd say that if the demo is bad (which i'm pretty sure it will be, but w/e), it would be stupid. Not my fault MS is stupid ;)
ChooChooCharlie @ Jul 10th 2008 12:14PM
XBox Live Goes Free
LOL
PeterF @ Jul 10th 2008 12:17PM
I have MGS4 and honestly, I would rather play Halo 3 or CoD 4 then MGO. MGO is just too clunky feeling.
xFenixKnightx @ Jul 10th 2008 12:20PM
Yeah I know what you mean. It's just a little too slow and CQC does not work well on there.
Misfit Toy @ Jul 10th 2008 5:44PM
Agreed. I played it and it isn't that exciting. Rather meh.
Mr.ESC @ Jul 10th 2008 12:20PM
A price drop? Wow that would be very shocking, shocking I tell you.
Xav de Matos @ Jul 10th 2008 12:23PM
It's crazy talk!
xFenixKnightx @ Jul 10th 2008 12:28PM
Yes, give us proof! Not photoshops the Geeksquad at BestBuy made.
:P
Tez (PSN: Tezasaurus) @ Jul 10th 2008 2:24PM
The GeekSquad can't even back up a freaking hard drive properly. They just stare at the computer and go "Uhhhhh, you need antivirus installed. That'll be $300." They can't photoshop anything.
Sora267 @ Jul 10th 2008 3:22PM
They CAN photoshop things...But it'll cost you $600 to install the software, even if you've got it on there already.
thesimplicity @ Jul 10th 2008 12:29PM
Wow, the writing quality on Xbox 360 Fanboy is, uh... much different than what I'm used to seeing on Joystiq. I guess they get points for creative sentence structure?
Ross Miller @ Jul 10th 2008 12:58PM
Yeah, and get this: sometimes the comments are nice and constructive. What a crazy mixed up world we live in.
Marty @ Jul 10th 2008 12:53PM
I've gone from unimpressed to indifferent to somewhat excited for Too Human - hopefully the demo is awesome (and it is actually delivered) from E3.
Misfit Toy @ Jul 10th 2008 5:49PM
Call me crazy, but I already have this game pre-ordered. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. I've seen a number of games, and even played the demos, where I wasn't too impressed but then later found the full game to be overall enjoyable.
Most demos throw you somewhere midway in a game which can throw you off. A proper start to a game will build you up and run you through a tutorial, as well as have some story and chronological sense to it all. That's why I though Bioshock was one of the best demos, because it started you off right from the beginning. Of course, the game already having one of the best intros to a game ever didn't hurt much either ;-)
Mr. G @ Jul 10th 2008 12:56PM
Robk Band 2 on stage? Ha! If any, they'll rely on their newest cashcow, Guitar Hero: World Tour. Perhaps they will get Randy Jackson to stand on stage and watch them play it, clapping all the way.
343 Guilty Fart @ Jul 10th 2008 1:29PM
I'd like to try this Robk Band 2 you speak of.
Mr. G @ Jul 10th 2008 3:10PM
Hey mister, B and C are pretty close on a keyboard.
Hyams @ Jul 10th 2008 8:19PM
You know, I just spent ages staring at your comment and trying to think of a swear word that begins with a B and shares a similiar spelling with a harmless word begining with a C, so that I could make a joke.
Alas, the closest I came was 'balls' and 'calls', and I can't think of a way to turn that into a joke. Woe is me. :(
Snowblind @ Jul 10th 2008 1:02PM
Some of them are a little too obvious.. Bungie's game was actually announced to being shown, that's the only reason we know of it. The 60gig HDD and the motion controller may as well be confirmed too. I'd also be very surprised if they DIDN'T announce Halo Wars' release date.
The 3D avatars seem pretty likely too. With the popularity of the Mii's, and Sony's Home service coming, they're going to need something, especially now that Sony have achievements, etc.
Misfit Toy @ Jul 10th 2008 5:51PM
Heck, instead of giving us a motion controlled controller, how about a wireless headset that works!
Xav de Matos @ Jul 12th 2008 6:15PM
To be fair it was teased, not officially announced at the time of this writing.
Psykoboy2 @ Jul 10th 2008 1:05PM
What? No Castle Crashers on XBLA?
Xav de Matos @ Jul 10th 2008 1:16PM
