Yesterday, we saw a clip of
how the Wiimote will be used in the upcoming
Wario Land: Shake It!; today, we get several new gameplay videos. In the clips (all found after the break) we see Wario, the yin to Mario's yang, using several different skills to make his way through his all-new 2D adventure for the Wii. The game currently has a release date of
September 26 and 29 for Europe and North America, respectively.

Aaaaah Wario you fat slob you. I love him! Such a self-serving disgusting crony. My kind of hero...err...villian.
Love the perfect 10 gymnastics pose after each completed jump to.

HIS BELLY SHAKES WHEN HE LANDS.
I laughed when I saw that.

Can I shake it like I recharge my beam saber in No More Heroes?

There's been a need for a tastefully done 2D console platformer, and this looks like it could deliver. Hopefully the controls won't hinder the experience.
Looks like it could play out like most of the recent kirby games, which isn't a bad thing in my book.
gamedude420 @ Jul 10th 2008 7:25PM
is this coming in the form of dvd or wiiware???
either way looks cool.
Meloche @ Jul 10th 2008 9:07PM
DVD.

Wow, I love wildly shaking my controller up and down to do simple things.
Also, couldn't these have been one video? The throw and shake videos were even directly after one another...

Originally, they were... God knows why GameTrailers split it up...

I'm really loving the sprite work in this game. Wario looks very animated.
I know Production I.G is doing the cutscenes, but I wonder if they're doing the sprite work as well. It looks great.

A company i've never heard of, called Good Feel, is developing the game, but i don't know if IG is up for all the art assets

Good-feel, Co. Ltd. (Not to be confused with Feel Good, Inc.) is formed of former Konami staff.

Yes they do look amazing, I'm really impressed. It almost looks like you're controlling a real cartoon Wario and not a sprite Wario. Can't wait for this.
juju187 @ Jul 11th 2008 12:34AM
C'mon downloadable episodes!
Maybe next gen. nintendo
im still buying it
bm @ Jul 11th 2008 6:58AM
Ah, who'd have through we'd ever see a 2D platformer on a home console that actually looks like a real cartoon... brings a tear to my eye.
TrojanGuy @ Jul 11th 2008 1:43PM
Pretty underwhelming IMO.
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Jul 12th 2008 11:09PM
It looks like a fun game, it really does. But I have to admit that I'd rather play it on the DS instead of paying the price of a Wii game.
