It looks pretty boss.

I think the "psychedelic" background will occur in a full band when everyone hits a max multiplier, or simultaneous Overdrive usage occurs.

Only reason I'm buying a 360 this year. Seriously.

Dude, don't do it. Unless you're seriously into sports games, FPS, and/or have no physical friends, or they're unable to game with you, It's a waste of money. Simple as. After a fortnight you'll be bored stiff.

If I was you I would buy a DS and a PSP. If you must have a home console then get a PS2; it's still the best console out there.

I have a gaming rig (PC), a DS, a PSP, and a PS2. I'd buy Rock Band 2 for the PS2 but I seriously want that DLC that's on the 360/PS3 versions. Everything else on the 360 of interest is coming for the PC, so it's a tough buy for me...but a buy none-the-less.

Don't listen to the troll. The 360 has many great games, all the consoles do. Just pick the one that suits you best.

If you're into music games, especially Rock Band, the 360 is the way to go - every guitar out so far is compatible with it (including the awkward but sturdy X-plorer), and if you pick up a 1600 MS point card when they're on sale for $15 on occasion, all the DLC is 25% off.

I think too young to remember Everlong would be the age of 6? This song is still played on the radio.

Any way, I saw Foo Fighters play this song live. It was the encore to a concert they had in Sacramento, CA. Still one of the best shows I've ever seen!

i find the foos to be repetitive and uninteresting by and large (especially anything after Colour and Shape), but this song is truly a classic and that first lyric on this video is one of my favourite of all time.

The worst for me was Blackout Bar in GH2. There is a strobe that activates part way into every song that just about blinds me.

Did any of you play GH3 for the ps2? The shank place, which is a really generic name to begin with, has this light that made me have to look away from the game to play normally.

Harmonix kinda revamped some of the designs they made for GH and use them as stock characters you can use in quick play mode.

Another is the vocalist from all the GH games.

The major problem here is that the substantial changes to the game aren't at all apparent when viewing the actual rockin' procedures, other than trippy visuals (a minor difference, IMO). All the great additions would have to be presented in a video that navigates through the menus... which, really, would bore the hell out of a lot of us.

PROTIP: When clicking "reply," make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you see "replying to [name]" above the comment box. Otherwise you gonna get f'ed up.

The reply system is balls; don't beat yourself up over it. :) This reply box should just appear under the entry you're replying to, like on Digg or something. But blame Weblogs, Inc. for that.

I bought a 360 years ago for Gears of War and Guitar Hero 2 with more songs, but Rock Band is the only game I've played every day since it came out. That's because Rock Band is effing incredible. It's like the peace pipe of gaming -- if you're all about slings and arrows (and axes?) in defense of Guitar Hero 3 and its ilk, why not just accept that both franchises can exist in perfect natural harmony, man? I've never been frustrated while playing Rock Band, although running out of beer can sometimes dampen the casual play experience.

The drumming section only has 4 notes (5 with pedal) - what about those new drum sets? Or did I not notice something in the video?

I believe the new set allows you to map the yellow, blue, etc to the cymbals to better simulate a high hat. You can still play the game exactly like you did in RB, but now you will have the option of making it feel more realistic.

If so, I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping there'd be more notes to hit with the addition of those cymbal pads. Well, at least I don't have to buy a new drum set now - but to tell the truth, I was going to shell out the money for a new one if it added to the gameplay with more notes to hit.

Its the same,On songs that use 16th notes on the high hat they move the high hat to red...See run to the hills as an example. You can see in the video that the snare moves back to red sometimes too.
