Gears of War 2's 'Day-One' map, multiplayer bots revealed
Other big reveals during the episode include the revivification of a map from the original Gears' "Hidden Fronts" DLC pack titled "Subway", the addition of player-controlled tanks, and a limited edition red, Gears of War 2-themed Xbox 360 to be released around the title's launch. With the veritable cornucopia of information already unleashed about Microsoft's holiday blockbuster, we're beginning to wonder if they've got any frags up their sleeves for next week's showcase.

The game looks awful, pretty boys. Attack me all you want, I can take it, but at least open your eyes and see the truth. There's a whole world of colour out there yet the peasants at Epic wish to a dreary world upon us. They is a clear lack of imagination in the art style of this game; a desperate need of colour is needed. And possibly an IV of class, because at the moment this looks like a rerun of the original, and we know how inspired that game was.

I'm kind of upset at Gears of War, mostly because since the first one had such great graphics, I never really get excited about graphics anymore since amazing graphics are basically a necessity now

He's saying that Gears 1 ruined many games for him since his expectations are now so high. If it was released after Gears but can't match its graphics, why bother?

Gears may technically have a better graphics engine, but I feel that games like Halo 3, Portal, and others had superior overall graphics, due to fabulous art design and atmosphere. Remember, super ultra high res textures + bump mapping /= better graphics.
That said, playing Gears was an amazing experience.

What I meant was that since the standard of graphics is now so high, nothing is really amazing anymore. A few years ago when we first saw footage of Halo 2 you'd be 'Ah come on, that's gotta be prerendered" the same with stuff like GoW, but now everything has really good graphics, and there haven't really been any massive leaps and improvements

I hope they let us do a 2 vs 8 with bots at least. Nothing more fun then being outnumbered against comps with you and a buddy. Thats one thing I thought was missing from GOW1, the ability to play uneven teams. I mean in player match you could do a 4v1 but couldnt do a 7v1.
