I'm with you Huey. Tedious, repetitive, tasks that you have to do again and again to gain any sort of progress in the game. I mean, it's like life. Why bother?

That sounds like any MMO in general.

So Animal Crossing is like an MMORPG without the MMO or the RPG parts of it? AKA a grindfest hidden behind cute little animals?

Don't even TRY to understand Animal Crossing: I bought it for the DS to see what was so addicting about it, I kept on playing through the tedious minitasks to see where the addiction was at and I couldn't find it... until I realized that it was already too late. I was ALREADY addicted to it.

If you haven't played it long enough, it cannot be understood.

@ThornedVenom: Yeah, Animal Crossing's addictive factor is like an STD. You hear that AC is great in bed so you try to see what the fun's all about. The sex turns into an interior decorating session but as soon as you try to leave AC, you get diagnosed with herpes that will stay with you the rest of your life. And require you to get up at 3am on Saturday morning to collect a special package on the beach which will never be the cure, because there is no cure.

All Blizzard needs to do is send someone on stage and announce a release date for Wrath of the Lich King and walk off. 5 seconds is all it will take to make the world collapse

Call me a dweeb if you must, but for MMO's to get their own separate bingo chart spells a bleak future for me.

Let's see...I want to hear about Guild Wars 2 quite badly and the Agency because I want to see a F2P MMO on a console.

Didn't Turbine say they wouldn't be at E3? That's really a shame, especially with a major expansion for Lord of the Rings Online coming soon :(

MMOs are quickly becoming over-rated. I predict that before the main-stream game companies realize it (and can make a change in their business practices) the true market will have moved away from MMOs in much the same way that "Facebook or Google" has become clichè.

All this noise over AoC is the last huzzah of a generation of gamers looking for the next gaming phenomenon to latch onto.

I would kill every and everyone one of you people for a Pokemon MMORPG. That, and for SOME REASON I think the old Jim Henson muppet show "Fraggle Rock" would be an interesting MMO too. Any one that remembers that show think so?

:( But if you kill all of us, you won't have anyone to play with! Then it won't be an MMO, it will be a Sadly Single-player Online...
