At this rate our Bingo cards will be filled before Microsoft takes the stage on Monday morning! Microsoft has finally confirmed the much-talked about rumors of a $50 price-cut to the 20GB Xbox 360 Premium bundle ($299.99 in US and Canada) and introduced a new bundle outfited with a 60GB HDD -- set to replace the outgoing 20GB model. The 60GB model will retail for $349.99 while the Arcade and Elite bundles will remain at the current price-point of $279.99 and $449.99 respectively.
For those keeping score at home with your official X3F E3 Prediction Bingo Card, you can mark off the Xbox 360 Price-cut, the new Xbox 360 SKU, a 60GB HDD and the Too Human E3 XBLM Demo squares. It's a shame those weren't all in a line together. It's almost as if we planned it that way!

That's their own deal, not an official price-cut.

I don't see why this is being done, I've never come close to running out of room and I have a 20gig.
..Although perhaps that's because I'm from the UK it might be different for America..but this seems a bit needless to me.

Arcade and dlc don't add up that fast unless you have a big collection of games. Outside of America the movie/music/tv show collections are pathetic, there's barely anything.

i don't get it, wheres the price drop exactly? you are basically giving us a discount on outgoing hardware. i doubt the conversion from 20 to 60 is costing you any more money. i mean come on, your basically pulling a Sony on us!

as SadisticHam stated this is "needless". I live in the states and i have never been that close to use the entire 20 GB HDD.
MS better bring motion sensor technology and some surprises, to keep 360 in top spot :D

20Gb runs out quickly if you have videos and demos on the drive.
Personally I think MS should drop the arcade, or keep the arcade spec with a 20GB HDD. No chrome, no component cable, no headset but a 20GB HDD.

All 360s manufactured in 2008 should have the Falcon, and being a new SKU it should be Falcon, unless they are swapping the HDD on old stock they have lying around it should be 99% guaranteed to be Falcon.

ahh
they really need to destroy the arcade!
just keep the 20gb, 60gb and 120
and make the elite less than a ps3 ?
in the uk (any maybe europe) i know the elite is around 80$ less than a ps3
the 20gb is about 200$ less!
and you dont even want to know how cheap the arcade is...
even less than a wii!

if Microsoft can make the Motion Control work as well as the Wii & have loads of games/developers on board with it [maybe get the most successfull 3rd party Wii games ported] - than the X360 really has a fighting chance.
i've played the Wii & i'm not too into the whole motion controled games & lack of precision - maybe its just that i'm a graphics whore :p i guess motion c. on the X360 could sort that out :)

Can anyone tell me...
Will the 60GB have built-in WiFi? I don't have a current-gen console yet, and don't have ethernet all over my house, and don't really want to buy the Elite because it's overpriced.

Built in Wi-Fi will screw everyone who bought a 360 early over bu it does make sense why introduce a 60Gb at the same price unless it has something special inside?

Ditto on the "I want to buy a 60Gig" comments.
I'm HOPING that MS is going to be reasonable with the price ($170 for 120 Gig? My shiny ass!) in an attempt to get them onto consoles. With Netflix, DLC, and more overall content, There's more crap for me to buy (= profits) and I won't buy it if I can't put it anywhere.
C'mon MS -- 60 gig at $60-75 will sell. You get people with more space, and we'll buy more crap. We're good for the buying crap part . . . just make it workable!
