Electronic Arts and id Software form partnership
Update: The fruits of the partnership are beginning to bud as EA re-announces Rage, "an all-new take on the first person shooter" for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. Note much else new is revealed about the game, which was named last August, but look for more info at QuakeCon.

For me it was the exact opposite: first I saw the word "idEA" and a half-second later realized it was two company logos. Ross gets a **facepalm** from me as well, just for the sheer obviousness of the pun.

I wonder if they got the kind of thing that Valve has. Let id do whatever the hell they want and EA just publishes their games for retail. That would sound much nicer.

I couldn't watch the RAGE teaser because the guy with the camera in G4 was an idiot, I saw the audience instead of the teaser (I think I saw Ludwig in the audience) and most guys in the audience looked bored out of their skull.

I don't think its activision's fault the game sucked so badly. It was a horrible PC game. Splash Damage is the one id needs to cut ties with.

Agreed. But the timing on releasing the console versions was way off. Releasing a game that looks like last gen and plays like two gens ago much later than the PC version was a poor decision.
