Microsoft's Lips supports motion-sensitive wireless mics

Update: "Lips breaks new ground by being the first game to let you sing from your own music collection," says Keiichi Yano. Wow.

so it's just sing star with a motion sensor gimmick
waynski1457 @ Jul 14th 2008 1:34PM
I personally don't care what it is, it's iNiS so I'll probably buy it day one and import the Japanese version w/ better songs...

SingStar ripoff, confirmed!
T @ Jul 14th 2008 1:46PM
It's karaoke. Not exactly rocket science.
hhhenryhhh @ Jul 14th 2008 1:33PM
so the rumored new motion sensitive controller is this mic?
Jakka @ Jul 14th 2008 1:37PM
Who gives a shit?
We have Guitar Hero 4, Rock Band & 2 and Singstar.
Ever since Harmonix decided to fuck the idea of making Rock Band a single gaming set fueled by a five-year supply of DLC and decided to release Rock Band 2 a year later, I've lost all my hope for this genre.
It'll become oversaturated just like FPS's and Adventure Games.
why not the LS2LS7? @ Jul 14th 2008 1:41PM
Motion sensitive presumably means you can activate "star power" by lifting the mic (see icon on that screenshot with man with mic over his head).
Hmm. I'd love to see more innovation and less duplication.
Joystick Hero @ Jul 14th 2008 1:47PM
Just judging by the picture there, I'm guessing that singing up into the microphone by holding it upside-down will have some kind of effect attached to it. Perhaps something like overdrive/star power?

Yay for comments appearing late.
Oh well, at least I'm not the only person with that train of thought.
FOXHOUND @ Jul 14th 2008 2:04PM
It's okay. You've got an icon of Doc Brown. :]
reign-♥-of-♥-love @ Jul 14th 2008 2:07PM

Seroth @ Jul 14th 2008 3:38PM
I, personally, am looking very forward to this, now that it's confirmed that you can use your own songs.
Ethan @ Jul 14th 2008 4:51PM
why is being a poser necessary?
