I'm puzzled. Do you just keep running forward and pressing a button whenever you get near something red? It looks like fun, but if it's that linear this would be like a theme park ride you try once and move on.

It's not linear. Look around in the trailer. There's a lot of paths they aren't taking.

You can with only $5 down and goes towards the price of the game.

Have you heard of the "edge" card?

Wow that looked really cool until I noticed it's from EA.
The rush every game to market. It will end up a solid 6 when released...just enough to make a ton of money but still be a throw-away game.

Thanks for posting twice Jon, gives me two chances to rate you down.

But seriously, are we still blindly judging all games because they come from one company that you have a negative impression of? Why not wait till the game comes out before you say its going to be rushed and get a 6 out of 10 for reviews. I happen to think this game looks like a lot of fun and very ambitious and a big risk is being taken, something EA doesn't do often and when they do all you can do is complain.

Blah, people will always find something to complain about.

EA is at least trying to change. Give them a chance.

Yay, another fool that's jumping on the 'Lets hate on EA' bandwagon.

Year after year they come out with great titles. Overall they make good games, some better than others.

btw... this is a DICE game... just published by EA (afaik).

That's like hating Biowares games just because they have EA slapped on them.

a lot of ea games turn out great...crysis, rock band, c&c games, and many more. They only ones they tend to mess up are the more family/kid oriented games.

Also look at what microsoft did to halo 1. As good as it was, they gave bungie an almost impossible deadline and soo much got cut-and it still turned out amazing-better than the really good but not amazing halo 2 and that crap expansion pack with newer super reflective shaders for 360 they call halo 3.

I'm having trouble ordering the fail from least to greatest. I think it should go: the double post, Yankees, then hating a company for things that happened long ago, and finally hating on a game you've yet to play and has so far looked great.

Yes, because Bad Companies weapon fiasco was such a long time ago. Or how about EAs epic screw up of protection on Mass Effect for the PC. As much as this game looks awesome, I purposely limit the amount of stuff I purchase from EA. I probably would have purchased bad company since it is summer, but because of the crap with the weapons they attempted to pull (and to a certain extent are still pulling) I did not buy it, nor will I buy it.

Will I buy this game, maybe, it depends on how everything else turns out. But I will buy Spore, and I have a strong inkling to buy Mercenaries 2. But don't attempt to justify EA and all the bull that it has done, and will do in the future.

What a bunch of retarded hypocrites!
You "hate on" a person for "hating on" a gi-friggin-normous mega corporation that's going to make billions of dollars this year?
And then "hate on" some more because I like the Yankees?

If the game turns out to be a classic, great. I'll play a AAA game even if it is from EA. That still doesn't change the fact that EA makes consistently mediocre games and runs a monopoly over the sports gaming business.

@ RabidKeebler...thanks for coming to my rescue! Even if it was unintentional! lol

Well this just went from a wait and see to an almost buy. If they can capture the free running from Prince of Persia, and the off beat reality of Portal.... This just might be the surprise game of the year. Also the pre-order comes with a cool bag!

I guess this looks like a cool concept, but some of the objects in the video seemed pretty low quality graphically... might have just been the video, but it was weird - gorgeous vistas with really plain character models, vehicles and environments. I'm intrigued though.

So would I - it's just I thought I had read from a few places that the game was pretty gorgeous. I think I had higher expectations for the graphics based on that.

i'm glad its not, it will have multiple paths though so it has an open world feel, if it was open world it would probably be boring and really repetitive (notice how gta and assassins creed are kind of repetitive) not being open world it can focus on neat puzzle concepts like portal did.

Yeah, how could anyone ever find running, jumping, and occasionally shooting entertaining for hours?

What's next, a game about skateboarding? Psh, that doesn't even HAVE guns.

What if the game was JUST running and jumping? The horror, the horror.

Is it just me, or with the vocals that come into the music at the end, it sounds like the same group that did the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex opening song?

Sounded like Imogen Heap, some crazy chick that dresses neat and does all of her own music with drum tracks, keyboards and various instruments... might not be, but sounds like her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeL_6jv_774 the studoi recording of that one is so awesome. But personally, I listen to metal.. Every Time I Die, the Fall of Troy...

... so the game looks awesome... I'm gonna buy it...

Does have a very "Imogen Heap" sound to it, though the vocalist doesn't sound like her at all. Up until now I had been thinking/hoping it would be Mogwai, though now I doubt it.

DICE did say it was an original score commissioned for the game by well known music industry producers... Hope they reveal who soon. Given us quite a beautiful sampling so far, I'd buy the OST.

I like how it appears that colors designate something you can grab or use in the environment. Makes for subtle but obvious hints at how to move through the game world.
