It's not often you get to see new footage of Final Fantasy XIII. But, that's exactly what we have here. Moments after announcing an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix has released a trailer that still touts its PS3 exclusivity. There's tons of new pre-rendered footage to be feast upon, and a little bit of real-time content ... and it all ends with "for PLAYSTATION 3 Only ... in Japan."

I actually have a friend who only plays these games for the story and doesn't care about the gameplay one bit. It's actually rather sad. She said she might just find a way to download the cutscenes from this one as she doesn't have a current gen console.

Yeah, it is a girl, but the funny thing is, I've become so used to effeminate male JRPG character designs that when FF13 was first announced, I initially thought she was a guy! (That is, until the trailer continued and other anatomy made itself apparent.)

does anyone else find this trailer funny? And I agree with the comment on hell freezing over ... i mean ... chrono trigger on the DS (I'm super psyched) ..... FFXIII for the 360 .... okay .... so maybe two games don't constitute hell freezing over ... but it's still cool to see happening ..... we live in the future!

After the mess that was FF12 I wasn't so sure but now I'm excited again. I may buy a PS3 just for this game...and Little Big Planet because sackguys are dope.

Well, I am looking forward to it. I will most likely pick it up on PS3 because it gets lonely and I have always played the majority of my FF games on a Sony console.

is this the same trailer they played during the E3 microsoft conference? For anyone that was watching it on G4, that would explain the "Microsoft requested camera angle," because of the PS3 exclusivity at the end.

No the Japanese just don't want to buy a crappy system like Xbox 360 that break 1/4 systems bought. Just like apple is better than pcs which runs MS windows on it which gets attack with virus all the time. FFXIII would definitely be best looking game on system. I can't believe people complain about movie scenes. Don't buy FF games if you like old school rpgs with crappy graphics and baby characters like Blue Dragon.

all sony fans, including me should see ff13 on 360 good news since it'll show the ps3 power and superiority. one having it on one disc and fully uncompressed on ps3 while also being fully made on ps3 this game will show people why the ps3 systems is the best next gen console yet. also, if 360 is the "greatest" or supposedly the "best" console why does microsoft steal ps3 games which show ps3 makes 360 and why did lose more than 3 billion dollars making a game company lastly why did they come out about a year early with faulty hardware in a rush with no hd dvd causing hd dvd to fail format win

Learn to read people, it said for PS3 only in Japan. And in the announcement for the XBOX 360 version they said for America and Europe there will be a 360 version. That means that Japan doesnt want a 360 version retards.
