I think I would rather download it on Steam. Everything else I have from Valve is there. Plus, I don't think this would be anything more than time-exclusivity for XBLA if at all.

If Valve doesn't release this on PC after all they've spouted about PC still being the best and most viable platform, going to lost a lot of respect.

Yeah, I doubt they would even give XBLA an earlier release because that basically says fuck you to all the PC gamers who supported them, and completely goes against them saying that PC is the best platform.

Valve won't go 360 over PC with this - besides, the orange box sold waaay better on the PC than the 360.

I doubt it'll be exclusive. I expect a steam and PSN version to launch at the same time.

Is it going to be an expansion to Orange Box? I would think it would have to be if it's going to be released on XBLA.

It sounds like it's just going to be additional levels, I was hoping for a full blown sequel that continues the story, the PC has had user made levels since release.

Nope, it's going to be amazing. Valve seemingly always delivers the goods. So invite your friend the companion cube, before you euthanize him that is.

After criticising MS for not delivering on their promises to unify PC gaming, it'd be a little hypocritical of Valve to accept a big fat bribe to make a 360 exclusive.

I'm sorry but I am getting a little annoyed with both Steam and Microsoft. Since my next choice for a console (I haven't jumped on the current-gen bandwagon just yet) is probably the PS3 it really bothers me that I know it won't be seeing Portal: Still Alive for a looooooong time because Steam is being a little jerk towards the system.

Plus, I'm pretty sure Microsoft got this as a payed-exclusive which I know they may not pay for ALL of their exclusives but for the majority (probably including the shocking fact that FFXIII is coming out on the 360). And sure, it's just business.

But when you're direct competitor takes a more natural approach to exclusives and let's them come to it, one of the two biggies end up looking like The Empire...and it's not Sony.

*waits to be white-washed to death*

As a couple other users have said, it's like a planned free updates for the PC, something that shouldn't be announced with a paid update for the 360.

Portal: Still Alive may be a XBLA exclusive title. It will likely come as a free booster for PC, much like all of the TF2 enhancements.

Probably just a dozen extra rooms and some achievements to go with it.

Well I'm not bashing on anybody or claiming Sony's will be the best press con of E3 but all I'm saying is that this is NOT Microsoft's conference and the other two have just enough potential to eclipse a lot of Microsoft's megaton announcements.

But not FFXIII that one was just plain evil of M$ (and don't attack me for using that dollar sign because it's more relevant now than ever!)

Hashbrown: WHy are you angry that Final Fantasy is coming to Xbox as well as 360? Why assume MS paid big bucks for it? If I were a Square shareholder, I would have been pretty ticked off at the company for ignoring one of the major players in the market -- which has cost them millions of $$ in sales. And even if Microsoft did pay for the series to come over, why is that evil? Owners of 360 now get access to a game that they wouldn't have had otherwise. Square gets to market its game to millions of users who they couldn't have sold to before. It's a win in all directions.

if you haven't noticed, there is a battle for exclusives in the gaming world. Each side wants to have the next great exclusive game, the next halo. Microsoft has done a good job slapping off most of sony's exclusives, except for resistance and metal gear and a few others. They got grand theft auto, they got guitar hero, they got final fantasy. Things aren't looking so good for Sony and the PS3 except for the win in the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD battle.
