32 and counting...
JohnMazz @ Jul 14th 2008 2:12PM
Scratch that. Nice list from my quick look, but I'm not too hapy about the ACDC song they picked... Come on, man...
jsn @ Jul 14th 2008 2:14PM
you're nitpicking one of the most rocking songs by a band that has never been in one of these games?? shame...
you know they're going to have plenty of dlc right?
JohnMazz @ Jul 14th 2008 2:19PM
Your probably right, I'm just wondering what led up to the decision to use that sone in particular. I'm not an ACDC expert, but I am a fan, you'd think they'd have a more well known song. Again, I'm not an expert, so whatever.
jsn @ Jul 14th 2008 2:20PM
I could be wrong, but I assume the natural choice would be something off of Back in Black. Which makes sense unless they plan to release the most epic of albums as a full album DLC... makes sense.
Brian @ Jul 14th 2008 2:43PM
Let There Be Rock would be much more fun to play than anything off of Back in Black. I would have choosen this or A Whole Lot Of Rosie. Back in Black can come later as DLC which won't suprise me because they do have a new album coming out.
jsn @ Jul 14th 2008 2:10PM
they left out the fact that there will be 20 free songs as DLC that they couldn't get onto the disc as well as the ability to import songs from the RB1 disc. awesome.
ToRo @ Jul 14th 2008 2:38PM
LET THERE BE ROCK!!!!!
copa @ Jul 14th 2008 2:12PM
Also, Harmonix confirmed that the original IGN and Gamespot reports (later retracted under duress) are correct.
You will be able to download Rock Band 1 songs onto your hard drive and play them in Rock Band 2.
Brian @ Jul 14th 2008 2:12PM
AC about freaking time DC
muddyhelmit @ Jul 14th 2008 5:38PM
Too bad it's me trying to sing it. I feel sorry for my friends
9600baud @ Jul 14th 2008 2:12PM
Hmm... 32 != 80
sqwarlock @ Jul 14th 2008 2:14PM
BEST. SETLIST. EVER.

I can't even imagine what this drum chart will be like.
Jakka @ Jul 14th 2008 2:25PM
You're overhyped.
Don't know about others but they can definitely do better for Nirvana and AC/DC.
soccerdude51 @ Jul 14th 2008 6:54PM
well i don't think they'd put anything from nevermind on rb2. aren't they releasing it as an album for rb1 soon??
McWeen @ Jul 14th 2008 2:15PM
Nice, very nice. That's alot of music.
Raikage (GOLDEN Gun Of The Patriots) @ Jul 14th 2008 2:16PM
Phew, all I wanted to see was Modest Mouse, now we should get some MM DLC eventually :D
84 songs? That's awesome, a lot better than 56...
Oh yeah, the rest of the set list is full of win!
whymog @ Jul 14th 2008 2:18PM
This is a beautiful day.
FOXHOUND @ Jul 14th 2008 2:23PM
I like the list. Would've prolly asked for a different song by some of the bands, but that's where DLC comes in, right?
for example... MightyMightyBosstones' "The Impression That I Get" would've been better, IMO. Though I have to wonder if Disney has a hold on that song, 'cause their sitcom bumpers feature a couple bars from that song as a jingle.
Mythra @ Jul 14th 2008 2:39PM
They won't give you AC/DC's Back in Black if they know you'll pay $2 later to DLC it. They are a business, after all.
Mike T. @ Jul 14th 2008 2:26PM
Gee, thanks, Harmonix... Now I have to change my pants from where I just crapped them.
I... I'm stunned, STUNNED at how good that set list is. "Full of win," indeed. Cannot wait until November(?) when it comes out for PS3...
Google @ Jul 14th 2008 2:27PM
Interpol - I'm so happy!
Jakka @ Jul 14th 2008 2:27PM
Pretty solid stuff.Wouldn't exactly get excited over it though.
Vegnagun bwf @ Jul 14th 2008 2:28PM
This is a terrible list. The quality is few and far between, unlike the Rock Band 1 songs.
TWiNKiE @ Jul 14th 2008 3:16PM
Agreed. But I've already said enough in past posts.
RavenPaul @ Jul 14th 2008 5:04PM
I agree too. Pretty boring list. "Drain You" by Nirvana? Where's "Breed" or "Smells Like Teen Spirit"?!? And "Shackler's Revenge" from GNR? How about some REAL GNR like "Jungle", not Axl's crappy new band. This will befiniately be a used buy for me.
Heh @ Jul 14th 2008 6:19PM

People, including myself, have all answered your questions regarding those songs. Why don't you check back through your post hist- *notices you hit the "b" key instead of the "d" key* - oh, you're dyslexic, nevermind.
343 Guilty Fart @ Jul 14th 2008 2:30PM
STILL no Pink Floyd! Aaargh!
klitorisaurus @ Jul 14th 2008 2:30PM
What no videos? :)
T @ Jul 14th 2008 3:50PM
So buy RB2 and get 20 free songs off the bat? WOWZA! 104 songs for $60.
Ultimate bargain.
reign-♥-of-♥-love @ Jul 14th 2008 2:33PM
flipin awesome!! beck? modest mouse? mighty bosstones? wooh!!!
radman @ Jul 14th 2008 7:11PM
get a life. those bands are shitty. im counting on activision to not fuck up like harmonix did.
Jomolungma @ Jul 14th 2008 2:35PM
Epic, if not for the songs (which are amazing IMO) then in the variety of musical styles. So looking forward to playing this - looks like loads of fun.
colin17 @ Jul 14th 2008 2:38PM
Ugh..... More Paramore and, what the hell is this, Panic At The Disco?!?!? Why do you have to water down such a beautiful list with crap??
Sora @ Jul 14th 2008 3:39PM
There's a ton of PATD fans out there. Paramore...meh.
Guy Number One @ Jul 14th 2008 2:39PM
NO FREEZEPOP?
Akukami @ Jul 14th 2008 7:34PM
Seriously, what the crap!?
tommy @ Jul 14th 2008 2:41PM
i guess by Shacklers Revenge being in the game, the new GNR album is imminent.
Jomolungma @ Jul 14th 2008 2:52PM
Well, that song is at least. Maybe it's the only one they've recorded in 10 years?
Ripcord83 @ Jul 14th 2008 2:40PM
WTF no Bad Religion?
Without the above, its still a great set list.
Will @ Jul 14th 2008 2:46PM
Pearl Jam! I am so there!
Me @ Jul 14th 2008 2:47PM
There's some good songs in there. Now to see GH4's track list and decide which one I'll buy.
TomPiltoff @ Jul 14th 2008 2:51PM
Not buying it until I see Radiohead DLC.
Blazur @ Jul 14th 2008 2:51PM
Dayum! Great selection...although I'm disappointed at the lack of Floyd or Zeppelin =[
OMGOMG @ Jul 14th 2008 2:52PM
They need Royal Jelly on RB2.

Dream theater? Instant buy for me.
AlwaysOn @ Jul 14th 2008 2:56PM
Can anyone here confirm if the game is exlusive or not to Xbox 360? On stage the guy said it would release exclusive on 360 this fall, but is that a timeexclusive or not? Please answer anyone!!
Lone Starr @ Jul 14th 2008 3:22PM
Timed exclusive.
Andrew Yoon @ Jul 14th 2008 3:30PM
Timed. Coming first on 360, later to other platforms.
