Rock Band adding seven countries to ticket in July

No longer will Belgium virtual rockers have to settle for playing air guitar to dreams of living room stardom, as Harmonix and MTV have announced plans to bring Rock Band to Belgians, as well as those in six other countries later this month, including Italy, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

According to the duo, the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band will be the lead SKU in these territories, shipping on July 24, with other fake instrument flavors arriving sometime later in the fall. As with the existing European release, the disc will include all 58 tracks found on the North American version as well as nine non-English tunes such as Die Toten Hosen's Hier Kommt Alex, Oasis' Rock 'n' roll star, and Playmo's New Wave. We welcome our new friends to the stage -- may you never fail out and your fingers never cramp.

Being an Australian, I'm disappointed to not see Australia on the list. :(

Anyways, as an importer of Rock Band I don't mind. As a friend of people who want Rock Band and complain about not having it, I mind.

I'm disappointed that RB1 still doesn't have a UK release date on the PS3.

Australia cries as guitar hero continues to have releases in Australia but Rock Band doesn't.

Just in time to be replaced with RB2.

Nope. That was from Rock Band 1 before they made Rockaway Beach downloadable content and put Blitzkrieg Bop in the game instead.

Still no Australia, I concur, screw Rock Band.

Lol if anyone heard an oasis song you'll know they're English unless you're stupid. I hope you're joking Tiptup or that's just sad they don't sound American at all the singer has an English accent.

This is ridiculous. The US release of Rock Band 2 in the US is only a few months away. Looks like they have just found some countries to sell the old stuff.

And because RB2 will surely be as region locked as RB1, at least for the xbox, we cannot import the title here in Europe.

As an Austrailan I can only continue to be disgusted. EB games is selling accessories for a game that may never come to Australia!

as long as they spoke english, french or german wouldnt people who really wanted rock band have bought it already

I actually was surprised in the US version they didn't include Detroit, which used to have the nickname Detroit Rock City. Although I guess they are more recently know for unleashing Eminem, ICP and ugh Kid Rock then their past of The Stooges, Alice Cooper and MC5.
