"Most" probably means no Aerosmith's "Train Kept a Rollin'" due to the exclusivity agreements. Other than that, there shouldn't be any reason why this can't happen in its entirety

Will it work like this?
Start RB2. Go to export option and then insert your RB1 disk. RB1 tracks will get exported to your hard drive/memory card.
I hope the audio for the crowd singing along with you is exported as well, but I suspect it may not just like DLC.

The Endless Setlist just went from something to set a day aside for, to something to set aside a WEEK for.

Wait wait wait...

So you get to pay $5 to play tracks that you've already paid for?

Who do they think they are, Nintendo?

Do you all realize that Harmonix has gone back on their earlier announcements that ALL songs from DLC and Rock Band 1 would transfer over for FREE. They flat out lied to us and now most of you are happy to fork over more money. I know its only 5 bucks however they already said if would be completey free. If Guitar Hero had done this, you would all be ripping into them right now instead of praising them. It seems to me that they made a promise that they couldn't keep. And a company that misleads it fans looses points in my book.

Where did they say that ALL content would be free? I've seen numerous postings/news bits about the RB1 DLC being able to work on RB2 without having to pay extra.

Nothing was said about the RB one ON-DISC content. And don't get started with Activision either. Because I didn't miss the notice about the Metallica announcment for GHIII & GHWT. Download any pay twice, huh? No thanks.

lol wut

DLC still carries over completely free, and as far as I can tell Joystiq is the only site saying that the disc content costs $5.

Well, I did something that you should all do.

Scroll through Rock Band 1's main setlist (not DLC) and pick out the songs that you wouldn't care about if they were taken out.

I did this: I found about 20 that I would be happy to not have.

Odds are only about 5 songs will be excluded and if we're lucky, it'll be the crappy ones.

It brings in all the songs save 3 - The bad cover of Paranoid, Metallica’s Enter Sandman (damn) and Iron Maiden tune (Run for the Hills maybe, I forget)
