Speakers for tomorrow's Nintendo press conference revealed

Proving that no bit of news is to trivial for E3, Computer and Video Games presents (via a Nintendo press release) a list of the presenters planned for tomorrow's Nintendo press conference. They are:

Nintendo Co Ltd. President Satoru Iwata
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime
Designer/producer/supervisor/god Shigeru Miyamoto
NOA Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway
NOA Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Denise Kaigler

Exciting, no? Really, there's nothing especially revelatory about this list of speakers. The question remains though, what will they all speak about? We'll find out tomorrow morning at 9 AM Pacific. Until then, of course, rampant speculation is welcome using the comments link below.

I would like to see a 2D metroid for DS, or a Super Mario Wrld and Donkey Kong Ctry as well. That would rock.

I really think the toon style Zelda is the way to go for the Wii, Windwaker has already aged better than Twilight Princess as far as graphics. And the Wind Waker wand just makes sense with a Wii mote. It'll happen.

Zelda:PH was exactly like an hourglass. After the middle is the same as below.

Zelda PH was good but man the constant repetition killed the game. I was at 3/4 of the game and I didn't want to finish it, it got old too fast. Still I liked the visual style and the first half was great.

For me I would be happy with a Ocarina of Time visual upgrade.

Titles that I want from Nintendo: A new River City Ransom and Excitebike,for the VC TMNT and DLC for Smash Brothers Brawl.

Maybe they will give us some functionality like voice chat, profiles, online infrastructure and an official HDD. The Wii is a neat little system but it is past time to bring the little device up to snuff in its feature set. How about a firmware update to add DVD functionality. All Nintendo would have to do is announce some new IP's we haven't already seen and the basic functionality I speak of to make the system legitimate.

The makers of Conduit are working on a voice chat solution with Nintendo, according to a rather lengthy interview with Gamespot.

That's really all that's needed. Once the technology for Wii voice is there, and WiFi Connection already supports it (Diamond and Pearl), other developers will follow suit

It's just that Nintendo has been dragging their feet on implementing the technology

Of course, the Conduit team could've just been talking big, and Nintendo will reject their bid

I never understood this concept. Why would I want to whore out my gaming console's disc drive to watch movies. Especially when you can buy a 1080i up converting DVD player for under $100 nowadays.

Judging from your comment it is pretty safe to assume that you have no children. If it were in the entertainment room I wouldn't care that it did not have a DVD player b/c I have the PS3 & 360 in there. However, it is in the twins room which has a very small amount of space compared to our master bedroom. Any clutter to remove from their room is great and I do not see a need to pay for a DVD player when I have a dvd capable machine. Understand? It would just be nice to have the Wii do all of that. They are getting old enough to go to some websites and they also use the Wii for that instead of the eeePC.

flexibility - Take just the Wii on trips (its small) and use it as our DVD player

In our situation the only thing that doesn't make sense is not giving the consumer the option to use it as a DVD player. If YOU don't wasn't to use it then thats fine but some of us would covet such an update.

Never heard to this Starmen.net sir, and I waited in line at AstroBitCity for Mother 3's launch... I'm more interested in Mother, as I've never played the entire game.

My whole post was wishful thinking anyways, we all know the only thing Nintendo is capable of showing is Casual Peripheral Based Fun Game and Edutaining MiniGame Collection 2.

Ironically, an English version of Mother exists. Evidently Nintendo was in the process of localizing it, but it was too late after the rise of the Super NES, so they canned it, but have a fully localized ROM, which legend says was leaked onto these here intertubs

All i remember about Mother though is that the last dungeon is supposed to be horrendously unbalanced

Even if they don't display anything that blows my mind, Nintendo typically has entertaining presentations so I look forward to seeing how everything shapes up.

This is where Nintendo either recaptures my love or unleashes my hate.

Lately I've been disappointed with them.

Announcements of voicechat online, harddrives and price drops will be rewarded.

"Family freindly" games and more add-on peripherals will be punished.

You do realize that most of Nintendo's games have always been Family friendly. So I guess you've been raging for quite awhile then?

SMG is family-friendly but interesting to the hardcore gamer. Wii Fit is family friendly but not interesting to the hardcore gamer.

I agree with Kye (don't really care about price drop since I've had mine since Nov 06)

I'm basically waiting to see which system other than PC will become my main, 360 or PS3. E3 tomorrow will certainly point to whether PS3 is worth getting over 360. Tomorrow will also tell if Nintendo has 90% sold out to casual or 100% sold out to casual.

IMO if this new animal crossing isn't an MMO there's really no point to make another one. It's really the only option left for them without it being exactly like the gamecube one and equally tedious.

My list:
Pikmin Wii, Animal Crossing Wii, announcement that Captain Rainbow is getting nowhere near the US(If it did I would buy it and then have to regret doing so every day of my life), Guitar Hero World Tour played on stage(Come on Nintendo! You guys have bashed Microsoft before!), (won't happen but...)Kingdom Hearts 3, a new DS/Game Boy shown, Zelda Wii, release dates/video showing of a few upcoming Virtual Console games and WiiWare games, a new Channel shown(TV Guide channel?), and Disaster: Day of Crisis demoed.

I know a couple will be left out, but most of them are actually possible.

Also add voice chat implemented so developers can use it(the Conduit being the first game since they are working on the online modes now as said in an IGN interview), the storage issue fixed, and an online community(extensive like PS3's Home or minimal like a 360 gamercard)

dude I cait wait for the prees confrence tomarrow man this will be the ausome that is what the promised or will it be just ok to good with us loving/hating nintendo and I heard that GH:wt will be at the nintendo press confrence and that they will pick 4 ppl from the audience to play it
