Glad they got voice chat, but I'm extremely disappointed it's not an MMO. It looked almost exactly like the gamecube version (and no i'm not talking about graphics) with an added area to visit.

Honestly, I think the reason why it isn't an MMO is because Nintendo knows what will happen if people are allowed to go to every person's town. Let's just say it would be hard to resist not fucking up a person's town.

That's a fair point but surely they could have thought of some way to work around that stuff. There's always a solution.

I guess. but I'm still excited about the game. And there will be voice chat, so that will be good.

With the hair salon and the town hall, it looks more like the DS version (but with Miis!).
But, yeah. MMO Animal Crossing = some random douchebag entering your town, cutting all your trees and droping penis textures everywhere.

i'm really relieved it's not an mmo, because then everyone would live in the same town, and half the fun of animal crossing is visiting other people's towns.

I think they didnt make it in an MMO because like others have said everyone who is a jerk would cut down your trees, dig holes everywhere, etc. I'm actually glad it isn't an MMO

(if u were talking about the computer sims then don't bother reading this
but ac didn't really copy sims for the pc either because u can die cook, have babies and such in sims PC)
*in my sims you have a goal
*in ac you don't have to do anything
*my sims you build houses
*in ac, it's like real life (except the talking animals)
*my sims dose not have talking animals walking around
*you can't mail anything in my sims
*you can catch bugs and dig up fossils in ac
*my sims has essences which can turn into paint and other things
*in my sims you unlock different parts like the desert and forest
*you can't visit other people in my sims
*all the towns are the same in my sims except the people you put in them
*ac has different types of towns you can have and you don't choose the animals
that go in them
*ac has seasons and moves in real time
*you spent about 10 minutes in day and night in my sims
*you decorate other people houses in my sims
*in ac you can't move the other animals things
*you build stuff in my sims
*holidays in ac
and you get the picture!
the only thing that is the same is you fish, walk around in a town, talk to villagers, and decorate a home. you can't really think the the games are copying each other because they are so different and have little similarities

Actually in the last issue of nintendo power they announced they would have info on a 'secret' game not at E3. I've no clue what in hell it is.

Disappointed in how similar this looks to the other versions, and I don't just mean graphically. The city portion looks fantastic, but why didn't the entire game take place there, instead of in the little village again?
The Holidays returning is definitely a good thing though.

The Wii is definite number one now, because ACCF plus Wii means core and casual both will buy and it will skyrocket sales.

Any idea whether you can play with other people on the same Wii ? I get the idea that you get visits from other people on their own Wii, I'm just wondering if 2 or more players on the same Wii can play at the same time, or is it one at a time like on the DS.
