I'm actually surprised it isn't "Animal Crossing: Castle Folk" where you decorate your castle, and build your kingdom of animal subjects, and send/lead them on quests.

It's what everyone else is doing right?

The one title from E3's abomination of a press conference that really got me hyped.

I can't wait to lose a bunch of hours to this game.

Love ACWW.

It always bothered me that the character face on ACWW always had a frown when walking around. Nice to see they added a small smile instead. Gameplay looks very familiar, of course, but since the game is one of my favorites, that's just fine with me. The new shop looks good. Can't wait for more videos and see what else the game has.

You're character has a frown because of the way you answered the questions in the beginning. Those determine the way your character looks.

Can't wait, but I guess us in Europe will have to if the previous crossings have been anything to go by. There I go again, sounding like a scratched record...

The cylinder rendering is really an awesome idea. I love how it's still top-down, but you can see the sky.

I really was looking forward to this, i wasn't surprised when they announced the game but the WiiSpeak really shocked me. Its such a good idea to have a "community microphone" rather than a headset for the Wii. AC being a casual game needs a casual way of voice chatting. Because its a casual game we wont have to put up with the same characters chatting over another game, like Halo. A great way to save yourselves at E3, Nintendo!

Why is it running the exact same engine that the gamecube version did six years ago? I was hoping for a much more expansive game this time. This likes like a DLC sized update rather than a whole new $50 game. :(

Which is why it'd prolly retail for $40? Srsly, to jump it up too much would remove a feel of Animal Crossing, and already it looks very expansive compared to the CGN version (been playing it since March). 'sides, the Wii ain't no PS360, so I wouldn't expect to see every grainule on a Gyroid.

But they are using alot of the same textures from the original N64 game. Let that set in for a moment. It appears so far, that the biggest thing they added was an auction formatted store, and voice chat.

The gameplay seems to be almost exactly the same. I want to see Nintendo actually innovate in their games, but instead they are taking the most conservative path possible. If this was a 360 or ps3 title, this would be a $10 DLC download.

Why is Nintendo getting a free pass for resting on their laurels? Their big innovations for this year are a music game that you don't actually have to have ANY skill to win, yet another accessory to play a single game (motion plus for wii sports 2), and a $30 crappy speakerphone.

So now to play certain games multipley I have to have 4 wii motes, 4 nunchucks, and 4 motion plus sensors? Couple that with my classic controllers, steering wheels, gun thingy and balance board and I have alot more accessories than games. How many more pieces of plastic do I have to have before I can just buy a game and have fun?

I agree. After watching the video, I've confirmed it for myself; this game is far too similar to the previous two (three) games in the series, and so I won't be buying it.

Sorry, Nintendo, but you're going to have to change things up a whole lot more here.

On a side note, Nintendo's been being far too conservative with their traditional series in general. Twilight Princess, for example, turned into a real drag in the second half.

Dammit, I was all excited about this, but then they had to go and use that horrible distortion-camera from the DS version. That camera annoyed the crap out of me, and I still can't stand it.

This looks EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OLD GAMES. Except for voice chatting, of course. I'll probably not get it, anyway.

It also has a camera, so you can take pictures of your character and stuff. Wiispeak, The city, and you can mail letters to people outside of your town. You can also attach pictures and presents to the letters. I think this will be a fun game to the wii. ALSO, they decided you can mail your friends letters from your email, cellular phone, and your wii. Your DS character can be transferred to AC:CF too.
