TBH, Wii Sports 2 with 1:1 motion is an announcement on a par with FF13 on the 360.

The game literally changed gaming. Go play it again now; it's still so much fun.

The new version promises so much more.

And the new adaptor is free with the game.

But, I also think they should set it in WW2 and write some crappy sci-fi script to go with it. Then you 'hardcore types' (read nerds) will be able to play it too.

You're talking up a press conference given by a company that sells games and you don't even work for said company.

Who's really the nerd here? I know you're trolling but damn, you suck at it.

Funny how all the fan-tards like you were claiming that it already WAS 1:1 and insisted it was...oh, up until the announcement of the new adapter.

I guess it's just MORE 1:1 now, right?

Give it a rest, you're a joke. Wii Sports changed nothing, as evidenced by all the Wii owners I know leaving their Wiis to sit in dusty silence.

But, hey, maybe you'll get Civilization Revolution in another 18 months, when we're all done with it on the 360 and PS3.

The Wii is dying is?

lol how many times have I heard that before? And the DS too I assume.

They're dominating the world of gaming, and leaving you hardcore geeks (that's what you like to be called, right?) behind.

If they keep this up they won't dominate for long. If the Wii fade dies and the casuals stop buying they're sunk.

^Says it all really. No teenage fantasy trash needed.

Gaming has changed, it isn't just for spotty nerds anymore. Welcome to the 21st Century; it's fun!

This is coming fron a die hard Nintendo fan:
Friggen, WAY-LAME!!

GTA: CTW sounds fun, but that was the ONLY INTERESTING THING. Nintendo is looking to bring in non-gamers, but how about the people who are already gamers? Maybe give us at least 5 or 10 minutes of stuff that we care about. FFS! MAJOR FAIL!

At the end of the day, 99% of gamers (yes, gamers) won't really know what the hell happens at E3.

In fact a lot will be excited by Wii Sports 2.

Its only a minority of nerds who watch expecting to see some great new sci-fi based trash.

Go read a book if you want a great storyline. Games are supposed to be a new form of entertainment, not books for thick people.

What i want to know is whether the MotionPlus addon will enhance games that have already been released. It'd be great for games like Tiger Woods.

I'd like to know how it's going to enhance those WiiBlaster games or those WiiWheel games.

Oh, wait...

Doesn't sound like it to me. Reggie noted that Wii Music was a great new game which didn't require the addon. Surely if it was beneficial to all games he would not have noted that?

i was so dissapointed with this conference, but now i realize why nintendo did what they did. E3 is a media and business summit, and the reason they didn't show a new mario, zelda, punch-out, star fox, etc. is because it would scare all the third parties away. Nintendo's 1st party games always steal their sales, and Nintendo is trying to attract 3rd parties rather then scare them off. If you noticed they spent most of their conference highlighting 3rd party games and their successes. Nintendo basically has this generation in the bag, so they were very careful not to bring out their "big guns" in fear of scaring off 3rd parties. (or they might just be saving them for when sales start to slow)

what they did instead was open up new development possibilities and possibly inspire a lot of new developers.

As a side note i also think that Cammie lady was lying about breaking her wrist in order to make real snowboarding seem unsafe and make the shaun white game seem like a safe alternative...after all she is a marketing exec

Question: what decent third party games did they show? That really punches a hole in your theory. They just don't care anymore, they are continuing down the line of what is easy. The one intriguing title they did mention (GTA) had no video or even details. They aren't buttering up third parties...I am sure garbage like Chicken Shoot and Ninjabread man is not going anywhere.

Couldn't Reggie have just came out on stage and stoof there smiling with thumbs up for an hour. Would have reassured me more than this has.

Disappointing.

Then in the last 5 minutes we get dramatic music and the stage darkens. I begin to think that we might actually have something - new Zelda? new Metroid? Kid Icarus? new DS Mario game?

No. Wii frickin Music. Talk about an anticlimax.

ATTN: This year was the announcement of Wii MotionPlus. Next year, after it launches, the good hardcore games will be announced and they will need the MP. Kid Icarus and the next Zelda will need the 1:1 control.

THAT SUCKED. Barely anything to reveal and they spent most of the time bashing other companies and swinging their sales dick.

I am happy about Daigasso band bros wi--Er, Wii music.

But man, that's it. Nintendo let me down this year. :P
