Must have missed the marketing stats section with LBP.

Presentation would have been a lot better if that had done the whole thing using LBP.

To me this seemed very focused on the PSN side and basically said "Hey look at us we are more like Xbox Live Now!" I don't get what the hype is all about with the video store. I have been able to do that on the 360 for a while now. I Didn't see Nintendo's but Sony didn't do anything to get me excited (and when they showed the video montage of games at the end I only counted like 2-3 exclusives not 10 (or whatever the number he said was))

I love how all the MS fanboys are claiming the MS presser to be the best, aside from FFXIII (which has always been coming to PS3 and still is along with Versus) and Gears 2, there is very little to be excited about on the 360 front.

Sony has a hell of a lot more to look forward to. But I suppose the game 360 fanboys hated before (FFXIII) is now the "megaton" announcement that rocked the world because it's getting ported?

You need to lay off the crack... your perception of these 3 conferences is really skewed. Seriously, regardless if it a superior system or not.. that press conference blew, thankfully no where as bad as "the get the bed covers and hide your face humiliation" that Nintendo did. I was embarrased to like games for a bit because of that conference.

Sigh. Alright, time to refute and attempt to slap you out of this fanboyism induced haze.

1. One of those multiplat's under Microsoft is Fable 2. That is an exclusive. *slap*

2. You neglected to mention the 360 exclusive Portal follow-up. *slap*

3. You neglected to mention a Banjo-Kazooie followup, also exclusive. Or the XBLA port of the original Banjo-Kazooie. *slap*

4. Yes, although Lips is a decently blatant ripoff of Singstar, it will allow you to you use your own music. That probably won't work very well, but it's still enough to differentiate it enough to bear mentioning. *half-slap*

5. You can't point out all of the so-called "ripoffs" that Microsoft has and then keep a straight face when you mention Sony's video service, a service that Microsoft has offered for, what? A yearish now? *slap slap slap*

6. New IPs? One IP: MAG. Singular. Not plural. When words aren't plural you don't put an "s" after them, silly! *slap*

7. I laugh at your mention of Sony's plans for the future, simply because listing that as a win for Sony that implies that Microsoft only talked about things that will happen in the next week or so.

There. Isn't that better?

Nothing really exciting or new, exccept Zipper and maybe GoW3, but I suppose we already anticipated that. Would have been good to hear about Team Ico and White Knight. Nintendo easily the lousiest , and probably MS second best. They had basically two games on display - GoW2 and fable 2. Bit of a joke, their biggest and only announcement is that one of the SE games (albeit the bigger one) is going multi-plat, and that too only outside Japan. Is it a bigger loss than Bioshock and potentially Mass effect going non-exclusive is for the 360? I would think not.

Jesus Christ, Fenix. With the amount of shit you talk you'd think you'd be able to take it from time to time.

The FACT is that with a same-day release in every other region but R2, the game will be held up until they finish the 360 version. What was going to be most likely a holiday '09 release is now probably going to be a summer '10 release, due to MS waving their dicks around and having the finished PS3 version put on hold until theirs is ready.

The 360 getting the game doesn't piss me off in the least. The 360 version holding up the already delayed PS3 version DOES. It pisses me off very much.

And what I'm saying is that it doesn't suit you.

If you're going to be the happy-go-lucky "class clown" then you need to not flip over every little thing. Saying "STFU" on any kind of internet forum is one of the most desperate, pathetic attempts a person can make.

Look, something everyone needs to get is that you can NOT shut anyone up on the internet. For example, I hate the shit out of Fernando, even though he seems to be as big a Nintendo fan as I am. But I don't try to shut him up because people like him will always find a way to get their shitty opinions heard. Besides, I'm all about free speech and all that happy horse shit.

I think the bungie announcement is an insurance plan. If square did a FF7 remake, a new halo from bungie would negate it

I doubt that a new Halo would rival the hype a FF7 remake would cause. I say this as someone who really doesn't like FF7 that much.

The best thing MS could do to counter a FF7 remake would be to try and buy into a port, but after yesterday I think Sony would be a bit more on top of that.

Not a bad showing by any means, but there wasn't much that could be done to counter the 360 version of FF13 announcement.

While in effect the biggest showing of the MS conference was simply a port of a PS3 game, the splash it made really stole the thunder from Sony. Which I imagine was the real point of it. Sony had the most to show that gamers should be interested in, but everyone was thinking about the FF13 port and much of the impact was lost. Pretty amazing if you think about it. Oh well.

I stand by what I said before, however. This gen is really proving to be a letdown.

At least PS360 is making an effort with 360 being better in the end. Nintendo just plain sold out. It was a fricken "hey, lets be shown Good Morning America/ Ellen" crapfest. Sony did let me down somewhat with this show because there was so much potential but thats cool. I still feel like MS has one extra ace up their sleeve.

I'm not sure why so many people are expecting Bungie to announce something for the PS3. They still essentially work for Microsoft, despite being independant. No matter what they announce, it's going to be exclusively on the 360, and if it's anything to do with Halo, it definitely is. (As MS still own that series)

But yeah, I don't think Sony's show was bad, certainly not Nintendo bad, but it was too long and there wasn't enough excitement. Microsoft at least had a showing of awesome arcade titles coming, and a really shocking announcement. I'm still enjoying watching the fanboys bickering about that one..

Frankly, I'm surprised to see Sony pushing for downloadable movies so much, I would have thought they'd be focusing more on blu-ray. MS' partnership with Netflix instantly makes anything Sony said about their system completely irrelevant.

What the hell are you talking about? Please explain me how Sony's conference tops MS one?

Showcase CGI/FMV of upcoming 2009 and 2010 games isn't exactly as great as seeing on stage real GAMEPLAY DEMO of big games coming out THIS holiday season (which Microsoft has).

80gb Core PS3... without PS2 compatibility... who would care for that?

PS2 bundle: Am I missing something?

PSP bundle: Just another flavor of the same

Home delay: Wow, the usual

Movie services: Welcome to last year Xbox live Marketplace

Am I missing something here ?

BUT, Sony show was still better than Nintendo. While I was looking at the highlights (could not attend the live blog, got busy at work) I just couldn't believe their conference was done...

well the only real thing Microsoft had for their conference was FFXIII, which was beneficial to them, 360-only owners, and 360 fanboys who need a few extra centimeters to add to their willies. as a PS360 owner, nothing about the announcement made a difference to me (other than making me pissed that Sony didn't do anything to secure it as an exclusive). considering all this, i'd have to say Sony's conference was the less smelly turd. i didn't care about Lips, Avatars, new Dashboards, or Netflix. i was covered with FFXIII either way. on the flip side from Sony, i didn't care about Video stores, PSP stuff (don't have one) or PS2 stuff really (last gen). PS3 Greatest Hits was cool, and the new 40gig/80gig hybrid for $400 was okay for prospect PS3 purchasers...i guess. but, Sony at least announced more new content. Microsoft showed no new games, and the only interesting exclusives they had were Gears of War 2 and Fable 2. Sony at least tested new waters with MAG and DC Online. inFamous was pleasant, though a more firm release would've been good. still would've been cool to see Sony ditch their "trailers" style and show some friggin gameplay for a change. would've also been cool to see Sony pushing franchises with little info available, like Heavy Rain and WKC. otherwise nothing overwhelmingly exciting. and whats with the almost-absence of Killzone 2?

Pretty boring show. They showed us stuff we know about. They showed us a new game that is way out and did very little to show what it is about.

Best of E3 for me has to be Fallout 3 and Gears 2. Not even close imo. FFXIII was a big story obviously but doesn't do much for me other than give a decision on which system to buy it for. RE5 is also coming along nicely.

wtf to Nintendo's show. Man have they ever stopped giving a damn about actual gamers.

I smell a fanboy. MS clearly had the better show. Sony announced a new PSP Resistance game and Mag. MS announced an exclusive Portal sequel, Gears 2 blowout (not just some lil' teasers), and FFf'ingXIII.

It's just not even close. We can debate all day about price drops, classics, Netflix, Geo Wars 2, and whatever else. But for the really exciting things, i.e. games, MS took the show. Let's not even mention that RE5 and Fallout 3 (with 360 console-exclusive DLC) were covered at the 360 event and not Sony's.

It would have been different had they demoed God of War 3 and Resistance 2 while unveiling some sick-ass new features for them, but they didn't. It was a total snooze-fest. Even though MS showed a lot of multiplatform stuff, it still had to be more exciting than Sony's, by far.

A freaking disappointment. No LBP date, nothing exciting, no Home *not that I wanted it, just thought they would release it to counter Live Party*, and more promises that they can break. Atleast give us a small LBP demo where you can test the level creator, please! Also, stop it with the CGI. No one wants freaking "render with system specs in-mind" CGI. Stop it... now...

Can someone tell me if they used the "This is the year of the PS3!" line or not. Just wondering if they are still using the same old, stale tactics.

Sony's two announcements to come to pass before next E3: 'Resistance: Retribution' and 80GB PS3 will be $399 in Sept. If the dashboard update is out before Home that would be a huge blow. Well, at least unlike Nintendo Sony did announce a franchise sequel (God of War 3).
