The Sony E3 2008 press conference bingo results are in! Yet again, we were this close to a bingo -- if only the PSP had trophies. The absence of a new Kojima IP is sad but not surprising. But God of War 3? Good news all! Check out the results from Microsoft's and Nintendo's bingo card.

I call bingo since you're supposed to get the center block for free and since they did announce a new PSP bundle with an exclusive color. Yes, it's not a NEW color per se, but come on, somebody's got to bingo...

Technically we got a new PSP color... a Silver Ratchet & Clank bundle. Don't know if it's brand new but it's a bundle!

i think that controller would have been awesome but everyone complained it away. if you look closely at a Gamecube controller and then the boomerang, it reminds me very much of that. and i like the Gamecube control.

Ya know, I don't really count that as a loss for sony. Yes, it would have been awesome to have FFXIII as an exclusive, but the odds that cash strapped square-enix is going to make money on that is not very high. I think the bigger win for sony is getting bioshock and eternal sonata out from m$ grubby little fingers. Especially if we get new content for both games above an beyond what the crap box 360 has.

I'm not entirely sure what the "show-stealer" would be for Sony? They had decent enough content, but nothing in their press conference really stole the show.

I give Sony a "B" for there presentation. They talked about everything we wanted to hear and their presentation was pretty entertaining specially the numbers talk with Littlebigplanet acting as the charts and such. The only reason they don't get an "A" is the simple fact that there was nothing that really shocked or surprised anyone.

No way, R2 is a known quantity. The overhype game is going to hurt Killzone in the long run. I think it was smart to leave it low key, I bet its on the show floor.

Definitely the right move.

1. Resistance was pretty good, I'm looking forward to the sequel. Killzone, was not good, and I am not looking forward to a sequel. A few pretty CGI trailers are not going to change my opinion.

2. Resistance 2 is out THIS year. If anything, there should have been even more of a focus on this year, instead of next.

Trying to hype a sequel to such a mediocre and disappointing game is a terrible idea. They should just release it, and let us see for ourselves. If it turns out to be good, then great, if not, meh.

I thought the announcement that the video on demand service is available tonight was pretty surprising. The list of on board distributors was much longer than speculated as well. Although that isn't really game related.

I will admit when they said 256 player online for MAG, I let a "wow" slip out.

Overall, pretty good, I'm excited as a PS3 owner. I would be surprised if there weren't more surprises coming later in the week from the 3rd parties.

I take it you guys don't actually know how to play Bingo.

You don't get bingo by having a line all in the G column. You simply need a line across the letters, as someone suggested, the center being free and if there was a new PSP color.

... And some people play Bingo where you just need to get each letter, and don't even need a line (when the center isn't free)... so if that were the case you WOULD have had a BINGO (at the end only, because we needed to know for sure that there was no FF13 news).
