Meh, why is 360 getting so many JRPGs? I'm really tempted to buy one now... I guess Wii is just too weak for these companies. Ah well, don't have enough time for this I guess, and we'll get Symphonia 2, which is nice, but this looks cooler.

Give it some time and they'll release a PS3 version of this unless you can wait or you're an RPG freak.

Don't worry, Wii is getting it's direct sequel to the the Gamecube's Tales of Symphonia. So, actually, Wii60 owners get access to both new Tales games.

I for one am super excited. ToS for the Gamecube was my favorite game, only beat by the likes of Chrono Trigger.

PS3 version? I don't have a PS3, it's PC and Wii for me, and it looks like 360 might come in to play too. But I think I'll just hope one of my roommates has one.

Loved the demo, but then again I'm a fan of the Tales of series. The Too Human demo was also pretty great. Can't wait for the final Too Human game but I'll have to wait til I have some free time from all the amazing 360 games this fall/winter to consider getting into Tales of Vesperia.

i dont know but i found the demo to be pretty lackluster, but maybe its just because the actors voices sounded pretty freakin gay to me.

Maybe it's just me, but i found both demos to be terrible. The story is horrible in both, and i just didn't find myself interested in wanting to finish the demos. Aren't these supposed to make me BUY the game?

A demo almost NEVER does a full game true justice. In fact, as much as I admire the idea of demos, I think they hurt game sales overall because they're not all that effective. Many times if you start a game from the beginning it ramps you up into the game, rather than throws you in the middle of it (like with a demo).

While true, the Too Human demo was the beginning of the game, and i guarentee it bombs. Tales just has bad voice actors, but the game could always be fun. I just hate the characters.

I played the demo last night and I gotta say... visually it's one great looking game. I remember playing more JRPG's back in the late snes/early PS1 era. Granted, RPG's have evolved with games like KOTOR, Morrowind, Mass Effect, etc..... but there is something to be said about JRPG's. The artwork in these games are amazing and I didn't have a problem with the voice work. I guess I'm interested in exploring some of these announced and upcoming titles. It's amazing how many are making their way over. I never would have thought to see this many on an xbox machine.

I'd love to play the demo but it's only for gold members. What is the point of that? Silver members on the fence are just going to ignore this with no demo.

besides the obvious reason of microsoft wanting to convince more people to pony up for the Gold service, it probably also helps with server load and keeps things running smoothly w/o all the free loaders downloading tons of content :-P

I believe Silver members still get to play demos, you just have to wait a week past the release date for Gold members. Look for it next week.

Demo looks great, that's for sure---I'm always a sucker for cel-shading, and making a JRPG look like an anime makes sense. I also really like the monster designs, which are both charming and freaky.

I'm confused by the battle system, but that's largely because I don't play a lot of JRPGs and there's no tutorial. But the combination of real-time fighting and party battle might be of interest to... someone.
